I think its probably normal but I just want a bit of reassurance
My LO has fed pretty much constantly since birth. Basically if he wasn't asleep he was feeding. However in the last few days he seems to have cut right back. He now goes an hour between feeds but not all of those feeds are big ones (ie he's only feeding from one side, sometimes not even fully draining the one side) its as though those feeds are just little snacks or he's just suckling for the comfort element while he falls asleep. So, not counting those little feeds, today he's only had 5 or 6 proper feeds. Also he used to cluster feed before he went down for the night but tonight he's only drained one side, leaving the other side engorged and sore
In the night he has been having 3 big feeds.
He's producing lots of wet nappies but we've not had a dirty one since 2 days ago. He gained weight this week but only 3oz whereas he had been gaining a lot more than that in earlier weeks. He's also had a bit of a cold this week.
Does it sound OK? I'm worried about my supply potentially going down
