OMG! My head is mush!

Okay, 4th MC in February, on a 3 month break (back on the pill).

Got headhunted last thursday, met with the company today and the offer is to good to refuse! Atleast 10K more, home based blah blah blah.

Am I being selfish to even consider putting TTC on hold, not spoke to hubby about the outcome of the interview as he was on nightshift last night. Meeting the CEO on the 20th March for my 2nd interview.

HELP!

hun your noy being selfish but this is something you and oh need to discuss just so there are no recrimonations later.
congrats on getting headhunted .

Can you not go for the job, and then go on maternity leave soon after? It might seems cheeky, but companies need happy, healthy women. And that means having a family outside work. I know it's easier said than done, but don't feel guilty for trying to have both.

Sounds like a perfect chance to work from home after you have your little one!

OOOhhhhhhh! this is exciting!! I am also pretty career driven, and think that it is important to be challenged at work. It's not selfish, if it means that you are going to be satisfied at work!

You can do both, and if they get pissed off in the future that you've taken maternity leave, then more fool them for being ignorant. Maybe it's the ideal thing to focus on while you are on a break from TTC?

Whichever way you decide, I'm really pleased for you... as it is really great to feel valued.

I wouldnt worry about it, hun. You are entitled to maternity leave and you dont have to be there long to qualify. So what if they get a bit miffed. You are a woman, women have jobs AND children and besides..how fantasctic a mum are you gonna be with some extra moolah in the kitty (not saying you're not gonna be one w/o it..but you know what i mean :)). Id say so far go for the second interview and also speak to OH.

Good luck, i truly believe this is a good thing!!!

Hugs, Omi xxx

Hey you go for it girl!!

Good luck with it all.

Thanks for the replies.

Alot of your comments hit home, I am career minded! It will help me focus whilst on a break.

Spoke to DH and he says go for it :happydance: and we can have abit of a longer break as the past year has been MURDER! to say the least.

SO HAPPY, here's hoping the 2nd interview is a walk in the park

I can't tell you how pleased I am for you... I hope it works out! Good luck at the 2nd interview.

Thanks Mrs. It's to much of an opportunty to miss. Plus the type of work I do is booming in the current financial affairs. Outplacement support, Career and Talent Management so can't really go wrong if I jump ship.

I think everything happens for a reason. I def dont think your selfish for wanting to take the Job! I'd do the same! Look at it this way, your home based - idea for when you do get back on with TTC, less childcare - and the extra money is going to secure your bub's financially and your not going to have to worry about money so much!

I'd go for it girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think you've had so much cr*p to contend with over the past few months (since I've been on here anyway), that you deserve good news and a chance to do something positive. You've got tests underway (have you heard results?) and you could probably do with a break emotionally. Good for you with your job, I'm taking a break till my tests are due back and enjoying the alcohol whilst I can woo hoo... good luck with it all.

Thanks Widger,

I've had the all clear from my consultant, he put it down to bad luck :hissy:

Thyroid surgeon requested a whole load of bloods, calcium was low so back on my sandacol tablets and I'm still awaiting some results back, which I'm due to chase.

You go girl, make the most of it whilst you can, hope you get your results soon.
