40 and TTC #2 - anyone else?

Hello lovelies, I can't believe I'm at it again! I'm the proud momma of a 19 month old DD. I would so love to give her a sibling. My DH and I are in agreement that we will try for one full year before considering other options. Anyone else in a similar boat? This is my second cycle ttc #2. Last cycle ended in a CP at 4 weeks, 5 days. I hear this gets more common as you age. Ugh. Anyhow, good luck to all wherever you are in your journey!

Well I wouldn't say I'm trying but I am not preventing and wishing for one more chance to give birth. I am 46 and no chance of going the medically assisted path. Most of the time I try not to get my hopes up and just do what I can to give myself the best chances. I don't hang out on these boards much because it is too hard to focus on ttc all the time. I am obsessing now because I am over a week late and still getting negative tests. I have no idea if it is pregnancy or menopause. I guess time will tell.

Hopefully, you will find out soon. I find my cycles have been very irregular since I gave birth to my DD. So, ovulation tests are bit of a guessing game as far as when in my cycle to start using them. Do you use ovulation tests? Also, I believe there are tests out there that can determine your fertility (how many eggs you have left in your reserve, etc) by your gynecologist or fertility specialist. Good luck to you.
