So A little bit of history for me. I am currently 41 and trying for our 3rd. Our first boy was born still at 36.4 weeks in 2009, then I fell pregnant with Colin within a few months of trying and had him in2010, he is now 6. We talked for a very long time about having another and just now agreed to start TTC but my cycles which used to be pretty regular are all over the place. I am not even sure if I ovulate every month and I am worried I won't be able to get pregnant now and that we waited to long. This all added to the fear of having something go wrong again, but I really want another baby.

My current cycle is:

Sept 24 CD1 to CD5 period
DTD on CD9, CD11, CD14
CD22-started spotting and very irritable and wheepy thought I was going to start period again but only spotted or light bleeding when wiping.
CD23 to cd26 which is today: light blood when wiping but not every time.

Should mention I am currently sick with a chest infection and ear infection. Not sure if this is my period or if it is something else.

So my plan was to use opks along with the following vitamins and supplements, please let me know what your thoughts on this plan is:

- Natures Bounty Prenatal Complete
- Centrium DHA
- Extra folic acid
- B100 complex
- thompsons vitex 1000 1 a day
- ubiqinol 200 mg

I am just learning about all of this so any help is appreciated. Sorry it such a long post.

Just want to wish good luck with yr ttc-ing

Good luck Melmac! You're definitely not too old. You're 40, not 50. Menopause should be years away.

Your plan sounds great. OPKs are especially useful for ladies our age as a lot of times our fertile window is not as long as it was when we younger (although a lot of older women do just fine without them). Sometimes it's all about timing. I use a CBFM fertility monitor. It is pricey but it's incredibly accurate.

Your list of supplements sound good too. There are so many out there. I would just pay attention to any changes you notice in your body/cycle after taking to determine how well it's working for you. But no matter what I would continue to take the ubiquinol. Another common one for older women you might want to look into is DHEA because it is great for egg quality. It is a little controversial so you definitely want to do your research.

To regulate cycles a lot of people swear by maca root. Evening primrose oil capsules is good to increase fertile cm.
