well ladies we had the funeral and celebration of life today. the funeral was hard but i think my mind is at ease now. my bestfriend/his girlfriend told me and OH she wishes he would of known about me being preg. i said im sure he knows now and i can count on him to not say 1 word about it

Hi ladies!!

Well my princess has finally arrived!!! Francesca Margaret was born on 28th Jan at 8.26am weighing 7lbs 9oz. I'm so ecstatically happy it's unbelievable.

I will post my full birth story and some pictures in the not too distant future, and will catch up with the thread asap.

Just wanted to let you all know xxx

Oh Betty! She is beautiful!!!! I am so thrilled for you!! Yeah, we are aunties! And she has such a beautiful name! :hugs:

So, yeah, I went to $tree and bought more tests.

And I *think* I might have a LFP. (Little faint positive)

But...I'm at work. I still don't have my cameras back, but I am going to scan it when I get off work. It's been two hours now, and I still can't stop looking at it. There is definitely a line, and if it's an evap, its the most wicked one I've ever had on $tree.

Oh Andie! I am praying for you!! I cant wait for yout o have your BFP!! :hugs:

DH is over the moon! It is funny because I had all of these big plans on announcing it to him when I finally got my BFP, but when it came down to it, I couldnt hold back! Lol! I needed opinions on all those $ store tests this week! Hahaha! So he has known all along that there was a good chance we were PG, but the look on his face when he read that Digi this morning was priceless. The funniest part was when he told me to be careful when I went to take a shower! Hehe! We went for a drive to Orlando today to look at houses. We were in the car ALL DAY LONG! He kept asking if I was comfortable, if I needed to pee, if I needed something to eat. After lunch he asked if the baby was happy that I had a full tummy! Lol! I said, I didnt know about the baby, but I sure was! Hahah! Then on the hr drive back home he insisted I take a nap. When we got home I fell asleep on the couch and he stayed up with DS and made sure he got to bed and everything. I think I am going to like this! Hahahahaha!

Hey ladies, (you guys are awesome and make me smile every time)

Ok so I am VERY overweight. I also have a rectocele and an enterocele so before even TTC I went to see a gyne to ask whether or not we should even try, risks, etc etc. The woman was horrible. From the moment she saw me she just went on and on about my weight. Then when she saw that I'm on anitdepressants she started to question me like a 4 year old... "do you think you should be having a child in your state? are you married? are you happily married? what does he do? do you get out at all? (meaning she thinks I'm just a fat slob that sits on the couch and eats all day? yeah)

Oh yeah, this was all on the second floor of the building I work in (at the hospital) so when she asked if I do anything I said yes I work up on the fifth floor and she said "oh, do you clean?" at that point I laughed, stood up and got my stuff and as I was walking out said "No actually I run the diabetes clinic. Bye!" As I was going back to my office all I could think was that I was the fattest person IN THE WORLD that ever wanted a baby. That's how low she made me feel.

When I went to see my family doctor about it and told him what had happened he said not to pay any attention to that woman. He said he only had one question for me "Do you get your period every month?" I said yes and he said "So then go home and have fun!!" :happydance:

So, I have a bit of a stupid question... stupid question because I don't know if it's just one of those things that everyone knows or what. Ok so if you get your period every month, does that mean you are ovulating and that there actually is an egg dropping?

Hi Ladies! Thank you for all the congratulations.

My full birth story and pics are over on the big momma's thread - link is at the bottom of my signature.

Brandy - congratulations sweetie!!! I'm so pleased for you, I hope you have a wonderful 9 months and don't have to wait as long as I did lol!!

I haven't read back through the thread yet so if anyone else has had bfp then huge congrats to you as well xxxxx

betty she is sooooo beautiful ... I've just read your birth story and the last pic is adorable :D

Congratulations Betty - Francesca is scrummy, and what a pretty name too :-) I'm guessing you're loving being a mummy :-)

Brandy - get you with your fancy new tickers ;-)

Andie - how exciting, really praying that this is it for you now. This thread certainly seems to have a LOT of baby dust flying around!!!

Emmy - I know, we are kinda in the minority now - time for us to gey our BFPs so we can join them. Have you tested again yet?

sma - I'm glad the celebration of life went as well as it could. Is all well with LO?

sanjalica - welcome along, this is a great thread :-) So sorry you've had such a bad experience, people can be so small-minded, grrrr!!! Regular periods are certainly a great sign that you are ovulating, but I gues it isn't set in stone. How long are your cycles? There are a few ways that you can tell you are ovulating. One good way is to check your cervical mucus (sounds gross I know, but you kinda get used to it!!!) which is a good indicator of your fertile time. Another thing you can do is to use Ovulation Predictor Kits (OPKs) - you basically pee on a stick a couple of times a day and it tells you if your body is gearing up to ovulate - again a great indicator of your fertile time. You can also chart your basal body temperature (bbt) every day as when you ovulate your body temperature shifts up. It is all rather overwhelming when you first start TTC, so my advice would be to have plenty of sex - every other day is good. Relax and enjoy the novelty of it, and take your time researching the ins and outs - educate yourself but don't overwhelm yourself. And if you have any questions, we will try to help - and don't worry about asking, we were all in your position once :-)

AFM - 6dpo, tender (.)(.) - but that is not uncommon for me with AF. My CM seems to be wetter than usual at this point in my cycle. Quite tired, but again - not unusual for me. And so the wait continues.................................

I tested again this morning, but no darker, so I'm probably looking at the antibody strip or getting evaps.

I was considering taking a break from ttc earlier today, but I've been on just dance 2 and changed my mind (mum got it for me for Xmas and I hadn't even opened it yet) and my (.)(.) were aching like crazy while I was dancing around  ohhhhh and I've rediscovered this song :happydance:

sorry for the cheesy music

Congrats brandy, a digi!! No arguing with that.

Andella I have my FX'd for you.

Emmy hope your okay honey. :hugs:

Betty!!! CONGRATS!! She is gorgeous....

AFM; another BFN @ 12dpo today, guessing I am out. Again. Just wait for AF on wed now. Just wish she would hurry up and come. Wont be TTC this month as no point as eggy will be coming from my blocked side. Least I can get my day 3 and day 21 bloods done and OH is hopefully having his SA on friday if he can get the day off work!!

Roll on march!!!

Still no appointment for my next operation to fix my tube. Feeling very down in the dumps. :( :( :(

xxx

sma - I'm sure everyting is fine hun, your sore boobs are a great sign that your progesterone is increasing to support you little bean :-)

4magpies - hugs hunny, BFNs are just so hard to take aren't they?!! And don't forget, you aren't totally out yet, praying for you :-) Do you only ovulate on alternate sides then? I never knew that. But surely that isn't an exact science - you should try anyway, cos you never know ;-)

AFM - 7dpo, time is dragging by!! My (.)(.) are still pretty tender, but they are still really soft. Usually with AF they are quite lumpy, but not this time. Also getting quite wet/lotiony CM which isn't totally normal for me - usually at this point in my cycle my CM is quite dry. So, not sure really - we still feel like this could be our month but trying not to get our hopes up too much also.

I'm confused. Maybe you left out some pertinent details, but it doesn't sound as though she was asking you weight-specific questions. According to what you posted, she seemed to be asking you "are you ready to have a baby?" specific questions which I think is rather responsible of her. I would think her "In your state" comment meant "in your current situation." Not as "in your current fatass cow condition." :winkwink: That not only includes your physical health, but also your mental health, your relationship, your financial stability, etc. Those are all things most responsible folks take into consideration before TTC. :flower: Or maybe I'm just being naive. I'm 5'4" and was 195 pre-pregnancy and my OB has yet to mention anything at all about my weight. I have a feeling that will change today though (and rightly so!!) because I think I've gained too much weight so far.

To answer your question, no, just because you have a regular period does not mean you ovulate every month. For example, most women have a very regular period on birth control but never ovulate at all while taking it. The same could be true if you aren't on birth control. I think the best way to be sure you're ovulating is to chart your basal temps & use opks.

Sanjelica, I get what you're saying. First of all, a woman who is on anti-depressants shouldn't be treated differently because of it. Quite frankly, it's no one's business to ask some of those personal questions, even if they are a medical professional. It sounds more as if her attitude is what is concerning you.

....afm...

I am taking a self imposed BNB break. Don't know how long it will be. Maybe a few days. Maybe longer. I am spending too much time on here, and this cycle has been harder than most.

Thanks for everything!

Hope to see some more BFP's when I come back!
