Betty - your family picture is so cute, you and DH look so proud and happy. And so you should be - Francesca is adorable :)nI love how you call her FranMag - is that your nickname for her? Sounds like J-Lo or something :haha:

MzItalian - thanks for the congrats :) So good to hear from you, this thread has certainly turned out to be lucky - so fingers crossed for you! We miss Bunni too, do you know how she's doing?!

Emmy - so excited that you ovualted. Its a lucky time on here, so definatley your turn next :hugs:

sma - sounds like you handled the situation really well, it is totally up to you when you tell people. Hope your mum is doing ok :hugs:

sanjalica - thanks for the congrats  I really thought that my weight would be a major issue for us ttc, but it really hasn't. Took us 7 cycles which is pretty standard really. Glad to have you here, its a great thread :haha:

AFM - feeling really tired, and waking up STARVING in the mornings. Usually I love my lie-ins but had to get up at 7.30 this morning to eat!! Trying to stay healthy though. Been getting really bad headaches in the evenings. Is it ok for me to take paracetamol this early on?

We told my mum and sister yeaterday who screamed in the middle of M&S cafe :dohh: Was lovely though, they are really excited. I also told my best friend who is also pregnant, she is about 6-7 weeks ahead of me. She was so excited that we will be having babies together, as am I :happydance:

Yeah DH started calling her it before she was born - easier than Francesca Margaret lol

yes ladies i was kinda thinking the same thing its none of her buisness but its hard because its like i lied to her

:hugs:

I don't see it that you lied ... I see it that you withheld some information that they would have made you feel bad about (from the impression I get from what you said) your baby, and why should you be made to feel like that (sorry if that didn't make sense) :hugs:

sma - if they have a go at you for lying just tell the truth and say that you weren't ready to tell people just then and you hope they can be as happy for you as you are for yourselves xx

So I was talking to my mom today (remember, she has had twins) and we were talking about how I'm feeling LB moving around already, and how my tummy is changing shape already, and how I can't eat much at a time already...

Well, we're both suspecting that I might be having twins!

I emailed my doula friend, and she said that I could be having twins or I could be farther along than I think. Really only the doctor can tell for sure of course - so now I'm even more excited about seeing the doctor!

I've got a list of questions and things already written up to talk to the doctor about :winkwink:

ya i think im just going to have to let my mom tell her since its her friend hehe. but even shes not going to know for a few more weeks. im happy about it but of coarse some1 always has to be negative about things so im not going to let it get me down no way!!! im so tempted to tell my mom though because i know shes going to be super excited but i dont want every1 else to know and i dont know if i can trust her enough to not say anything......

still not many major symptoms for me yet just back ache, having to pee alot waves of slight nausea and i can smell EVERYTHING

starlit- omg that would be so cool if u had twins!!! when do u find out ?

Oh! I can smell everything too! It is insane!! I quit smoking on Monday and since then the smell of cigarettes makes me nauseous. It really helped with quitting! Lol! Was the easiest thing I have had to do! Sodas were a completely different story. Not a day has gone by that I havent cried inside for one! Lol!

OMG! Does my ticker fruit change every week?? Aww, my little Appleseed!

I'm going to the doctor this week - I have an appointment for Friday but I'm calling tomorrow to change it. Hopefully to Saturday morning so dH can take me, but if not then Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday around 4pm and my MIL will take me.

I'd be thrilled if I'm having twins :cloud9: dH would be a bit taken aback :haha:

Don't give up soda if you don't want to love, everything in moderation. There were days when I could'nt drink anything else, and because I wasn't eating much the sugar and caffeine gave me a much needed boost. I didn't even count how much I was drinking either - just tried to make sure I got plenty of water too.

Oh, I wish I could get away with it, but the soda and caffeine raise my blood sugar to insane levels. It was okay (well not really) when it was just me, but I have the baby to think about now and I dont want to do any damage with high numbers. I have been thinking about finding a caffeine free diet soda made with splenda through, for a treat.

Have you tried Caffiene-Free Diet-Coke? They've got it made with Splenda too, as well as one with vitamins in it! :) x

Aw that makes a difference then. Here in the uk they do Diet Coke in a caffeine free version - is it not available over there?

We definitely have caffeine free soda options in the US. Cola, orange soda, grape soda, lemon-lime soda -- all of various brands. Even caffeine free Mountain Dew.
Most of those are available in diet and non-diet versions (not sure about the Mt. Dew. It may just be diet).

Edit: I'm a big fan of Diet Dr Pepper and have 12 oz/day. 12 oz has around 35mg caffeine and since that's usually my only big source of caffeine for the day, 1 should be just fine. Baby goes nuts bouncing around after I drink it though since I drink so little caffeine otherwise. :haha:

Can i join please... Im ttc baby #2 after my angel was still born.

Aw I'm so sorry to hear about your angel :hugs:

Weight can be a factor when ttc, but I was 20 stones 6lbs when I got my bfp so it isn't always the problem, and alot of ladies on this thread and my own thread (link at the bottom of my sig) will tell you the same thing.

But trying to lose weight and being healthy is always a good thing and I really hope that you can manage to conceive naturally.

You will find lots of support on both of these threads, they are a wonderful bunch of ladies - they are the reason I still come here even though I've had my LO now.

Sending lots of love, hugs and prayers your way xxx

:hi: mumanddad everyone is lovely here as betty says ... how's things with you hun? is the diet going ok?

Just a little ray of hope for you though, you're the same size as I was when I got pregnant with this baby, who's my third time lucky rainbow baby, so it IS possible, and I'm proof of that :hugs:
