Hey ladies :)

Starlit - I'm totally with you on the heartburn, ugh!! But I'll take that over nausea any day! Only had one day of feeling really sick so far - hoping that is my MS over ;) Feeling pretty bloated - can't do up my fave pair of jeans so already using a belly belt!! I have actually lost 2lbs so know it's not (more) fat!!! I'm loving orange juice at the moment, yum!! Can't get enough of it :)

Andie - glad you got your finger steaks!! We don't have them here I don't think?! Hope you are doing ok hun Xxx

Emmy - hows the 2ww going hun?!!

it's going ok ... all possible symptoms seem to have disappeared so I don't know what's going on

I tested earlier and thought I could see something (the green one is an opk and the blue is a hpt)

https://www.babyandbump.com/pregnancy-tests/536137-anyone-see-anything.html

I have decided though that after this cycle, we're going to take a break from ttc so that I can concentrate on my weight loss, I'm still gonna be doing opks and temping so I get more of an idea of what my cycles are like, but I won't be so intense on bding around ov, we're going to have a few months of going for it when the mood takes us

Luckily the heartburn only hits in the evening, and I can battle it with tums!!
I think my morning sickness is mostly over - I haven't felt more than just a little wobbly in the tummy area for the past 4-5 days!!

My first doctor's appointment is this Saturday, I'm so excited and nervous!!

And did I mention I'm going to Canada in May to see my family? We bought the ticket yesterday. I haven't seen any of my family since December 2009 - when I go it will have been a year and 9 months! Can't wait!! :happydance:

Sooooooo good to see you back Bunni! :) Sorry about you and hubby. I pray things work out for the better. I've missed you around here! Also congrats on the 22 lbs lost. :)

I'm doing great! I am SOOO happy to see that there are going to be a lot more baby bumps showing up soon!!!! I'm SO proud of your guys!! The down side for me though.. My husband and I are on a break which means baby trying will be on a break for a while until we figure things out..

Emmy -- Could be line-eye, but I think I see a line on the OPK and the HPT. Then again, I could've sworn I saw a hint of a line on a HPT I took the morning of 8dpo... in hindsight I don't think implantation had occurred yet (I think it happened that evening & I got my actual bfp the morning of 11dpo). :dohh: Fx for you!

:hugs: thanks for looking hun ... ff has decided to take away my 11 dpo today because my temp dropped again :(

kinda wish I knew what my body was playing at :dohh:

I can see a line on the blue one!!!! And im bad at seeing lines x x

i hope this is it for u emmy!

asfm- i think im going to go to urgent care 2morrow, i still feel like crap everything hurts!!!!! ive had to take cough drops and meds and last night when i went to wipe i have a glob of goopy clear stuff so that kinda scares me now on top of everything. this is the 4th day and my throat still hurts like hell! my stomache is messed up in every way my head hurts and my eyes even hurt

:flower: Hope you feel better soon, sma.

Confession: I can NOT stop buying cloth diapers. I think I have a problem. I'm pretty sure I now have enough to last 2 kids from birth to potty. :haha: The good part is I've been shopping mega sales so I've only spent $220 which is pretty much what I'd spend in 7 months on disposables with just 1 kid. I now have 9 Bumgenius AIO size small, 11 Econobum covers, 4 Flip covers, 37 prefolds, 6 Flip stay-dry inserts, and 4 Bumgenius soakers. And considering I'm not even halfway there, I'm sure I'll acquire a couple more diapers before baby is born.
At least I'll only have to do diaper laundry once every 4 days or so.

so how does that work out if the baby poos in them does that mean theres only one part u take out and like rinse off ? i would hope thats how it is so the poo doesnt sit in them all day or whatever untill there washed.......what do you do if ure out in public and baby poos do u rinse it out in the sink or do u carry around a dirty diaper? ive never known any1 who has used these so im curious

ps ...thanx im going to urgent care today, hopefully i can get some meds to help make it go away. i hope they do an ultrasound to make sure bean is ok after all these meds ive taken and havnt been able to eat more than a few grapes a day

Hope it went ok at the docs Sma and you feel better soon how's everyone else doing? x

Emmy - I think I see a line too on both of them, I really hope this is your month sweetie!!!

Hi ladies, sorry I haven't stopped by for a few days. I went over to see my family on Friday and then spent the weekend relaxing with DH.

How is everyone?

We are struggling to get Francesca's sleep pattern sorted at the moment. She seems to be sleeping too much during the day and then not going back to sleep after her early morning feed. She woke up for a bottle at 3am this morning and wouldn't go back to sleep until 5.30am!!! I don't mind so much her not settling if I'm already awake but it's when she wakes me up and I'm half asleep that I struggle. I get a bit teary because I feel a bit of a failure :(

But we will get there in the end!

I tested this morning and got nothing, so I'm assuming they were evaps.

On a plus note, I'm cravng sweet stuff which is normally a sign af will be here soon, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

My referral has come through for the exercise scheme my gp referred me for, and I've got my initial assessment on Monday  I'm feeling quite excited because I want to get my body in check, and I'm feeling it's the right time for us to take a break from ttc for a few cycles so I'll be concentrating on my weight loss.

Annnnnddddddd we're looking at booking a holiday for next year ... at the moment it's looking like it's going to be the dominican republic :happydance:

sma - hope they can sort you out at urgent care so you start feeling better.

Betty - you are absolutely not a failure hun, you are a normal sleep-deprived mummy!! You will get there, just be kind to yourself and take some rest when you can :)

Emmy - so sorry you got BFN today hun :( But you sound really positive about your new weight loss programme which is great. And they do say the best thing you can do for your BFP is relax :)

AFM - I felt so rough yesterday, really exhausted and nauseous. Still tired today, but not feeling sick. I seem to feel really sick some days and the fine the next - so am gonna enjoy the good days :)

Hi Girls, I'm new to all this so stay with me! I'm a overweight girl TTC. I think i ovulate reg and my cycle is always pretty much on time. I was just wondering how long some of you lovely plus size girls have taken to conceive?

Have you had any health related problems whilst pregnant high BP etc and what do they do if you do get high BP when preggers???
I'm so worried about getting pregnant and getting treated poorly because i'm overweight.
Any answers will be greatly appreciated, thanks girls xxx

Hi Claire!

I was 20 stone 6lbs when I conceived. I had been on the depo injection for 4 and a half years and never had a period the whole time. It only took just over a month for AF to return and then got pregnant 6 months later.

I had no problems during my pregnancy apart from quite bad morning sickness until about 23wks and heartburn all the way through. But those combined with a smaller appetite meant I lost 3 and a half stones by the time I got weighed after giving birth - I'm now 16 stones 13lbs - I feel really healthy!

I was treated really well by everyone the whole way through my pregnancy. Of course my weight was mentioned but not in a negative way. I was put under consultant care and had to have a gtt to make sure I didn't have gestational diabetes as well as an appointment with an anaesthatist to discuss pain options and check I could have an epidural in an emergency if I hadn't already had one.

I had a normal birth, although I had to be induced as Francesca was far too comfy in there lol. I only had one shot of pethedine fairly early on and did the rest on gas and air!!

I hope that answers some of your questions, please feel free to ask me anything and I hope it doesn't take you long to join the mummy club xxx

Hi Big Betty, Thanks for your reply. You have made me feel much better about it all. You hear such horror stories about these things. I just dont want to be made to feel uncomfortable about the whole thing, its hard enough for us larger ladies as it is.

I've only just started TTC, and i'm worrying about it already. I'm expecting to take a while to conceive due to my weight, so I have purchased a clear blue monitor just to give a helping hand...plus my other half works nights so finding "the time" can be difficult.

I hope when I do eventually get pregnant I have as a good a pregnancy as yourself., minus the morning sickness.

Congratulations on the birth of you daughter...and the weight loss!!

You're welcome sweetie!

The only advice I can give regarding ttc is just to relax and try not to worry about it too much. When I came off the injection I tried to be really good - eating healthily, not drinking etc but I soon realised it wasn't having any effect. I actually got pregnant after going back to being myself, having some fun and I actually put a stone in weight on and was the heaviest I had ever been!

I know it's easy to say be relaxed about it when you want something so badly, but I really was. When AF arrived I didn't get disheartened, I just thought "oh well there is always next month". I think if it had taken any more than a year then perhaps I would have felt differently but it can take around a year for a fit, healthy person of 'normal' weight to conceive so I just decided to take each month as it came.

The month before my bfp my period was almost 2wks late and I was super tired and had achey boobs which I don't normally get before my period. I tested after around a week and it was negative, I did another one the next morning and that was negative too. AF finally arrived a couple of days later. The next month AF was about 4 days late and I never really thought anything of it and this time I didn't have any symptoms. I was in town and decided on the spur of the moment to pop into poundland to get a pack of 2 strip tests. When the first one came out positive I was in absolute shock! I went straight out and bought a clear blue digi test which of course was also positive and the rest, as they say, is history!!!
