Hi,

I am in the process of miscarrying for the 4th time in a row. I have 3 beautiful children and didn't really have any complications with those pregnancies except for a friable cervix. My first loss was at 13 weeks, then a blighted ovum 2 months later than another one last June and now this one at 5.5 weeks. I am 31, healthy or so I thought, and they have run every test in the book.

I am so emotionally drained and heartbroken right now. This past week has been hell. First, they tell me, oh your HCG levels are low so you must be losing the baby, then 2 days later, oh look your levels shot up and the ultrasound looks good so you're still pregnant. Then yesterday its back to oh your levels didn't double so expect to miscarry and call if I have any questions. All the back and forth was super unnecessary and stressed me out more than I needed to be. Im sorry for the long rant, I'm just so heartbroken right now.

I’m so sorry for your losses and the run around from your doctors. I’ve had two recurrent losses and I know how much they hurt, I can’t imagine what you must be experiencing. Have you had any testing done? After 4 losses it’s your right and the doctor’s duty to find out why this keeps happening.

Thank you for your reply. I feel like this is a really lonely ordeal. They tested me for just about everything. Thyroid, progesterone the entire hormone panel and it's all normal. I find it difficult to believe its just bad luck. I was looking up info on blighten ovums and one of the causes I guess could be the aging of the egg or sperm, but i'm 31 and my partner is 30.

Now they want me to see a specialist, but our insurance doesn't cover it so that won't be happening.
