5 weeks pregnant, not with the father

Hi guys,

I'm new to this lol! I found out last week that I am 5 weeks pregnant. My situation is not ideal - I am/was married but it didn't work, after a long period trying to make it work, we separated. After a while, I started seeing a friend of 2 years (the father) but after a few months we kind of drfted apart (he is working very hard on his career). Well, we have decided to keep the baby and I'm over the moon but I am worried about our relationship.

We haven't told anyone other than our best friends yet, so I suppose I'm just on here for some support if anyone wants to throw some my way!

Has the father said how much involvement he is going to have??? you may not be together, doesn't mean you both can't be great parents together!

Hello Chick, your situation is not too un similar to mine. I have just broken up with my boyfriend of 3 years only to find out this week I am pregnant I am still upset over the break up and now I am facing the prospect of being a single mom.

Me and my ex are still very good friends this is the reason we split we are more best friends than bf and gf.

I have yet to tell my ex but I know that he is a lovely person who will stand by me and our child and he will be a supportive dad. Don't let the situation get on top of you just enjoy what will be I an sure you and your ex will be great parents. There are children and mommies that have far worse situations than ours to deal with daily.
