5cm dilated, 80% effaced, and waters bulging

went to the hospital and though fluid was leaking. No fluid leaking but im 5cm dilated, 80% soft and waters are bulging. Got sent home to do some walking until water breaks or contractions are 5 minutes apart. Common baby! anyone been this far along and not had baby in 24 hours?

oh wow! walk walk walk! Jump if you have to! lol Good luck Surprised they sent you home, they could have easily just broken your water for you! if you are already that far along it seems like you will have a rather quick labor!

my waters broke before getting checked out so unsure if they buldged or not sorry

I would keep walking, bounce on your birthing ball(if u have one) or even go for a nice bumpy car ride lol

Well I was only 2cm dilated on Wednesday and now im 5cm today. I was totally surprised but I lost my muscle plug last night and I wasnt getting very many contractions at all today so I was super surprised. I knew I was soft but 80 effaced was another surprise. Really hoping something happens tonight!!! Now its just a waiting game!

Good luck! I just noticed you're from az! Me too grew up in chandler but currently in tempe (will be delivering at mercy gilbert though). Good thing you're almost done, this heat is torture haha.

Nope have done it all. Took a warm bath and lost a ton more mucus plug sorry TMI.

Thats awesome lots of labor dust your way. still waiting on this baby to do something. No contractions now and have been bouncing and walking. Maybe something tonight and tomarrow who knows. I hope I dont have to walk around another week at 5cm

haha the labor dust part cracked me up, just cause of this dust storm haha.

Walking (more like waddling) around at 5 centimeters for too long seems like it would get annoying! my hubby thinks its funny when I waddle -_- infact one time he made me get out of the car to go up to the atm machine while he fricken turned the car around and when I asked him why he said it was cause he wanted to watch me waddle back to the car -_- this was like 2 weeks ago.. I hadn't even noticed I was already waddling lol.

if all else fails you can run up to walmart and buy a crochet hook and pop the bag your self! lol jk I wouldn't do that.. leave that to the professionals lol. Hopefully something happens soon

Lmao I told a friend we could do that last night but she said well no crochet hook but lots of shears (we work at a salon). I'm still waiting just more mucus plug blegh I dunno what else to do at this point. Baby feels like she is gonna fall out but no contraction progress and no water breakage. this baby likes to tease me
