5cm dilated, 80% effaced, and waters bulging

I never would have thought someone could be 5cm for days. It's got to happen before Wednesday!

went to the hospital and though fluid was leaking. No fluid leaking but im 5cm dilated, 80% soft and waters are bulging. Got sent home to do some walking until water breaks or contractions are 5 minutes apart. Common baby! anyone been this far along and not had baby in 24 hours?

Nope still waiting for waters to go or my contractions to get 5 mins apart pretty much the only times I can go back even at 5cm! Im 38 weeks. Im hoping to call my doctor tomarrow and see what she says as opposed to just the hospital on if ill go into labor soon or if there is a way to get this started. Walking around half dilated is painful. Feels like a bowling ball between my thighs!

good luck! hope something happens soon, i know how frustrating it is as im 38 weeks as well been having cramps all day although slowed down now.

Yeah, that is bs! They should have kept you there being your at 5cm! Thats usually when drs break your water. I called my hospital last night because I was having contractions 3 min apart they told me to just stay home until my water breaks. They must have just been bh but still they should encourage women to be checked out instead of just taking a guess. Good luck and I am sure your doctor will do something for you tomorrow.
