5w6d ultrasound :)

I had my first ultrasound today.
I measured exactly 5w6d.
I saw my baby which looked like a blob haha and it's heart was beating too!
The crown rump length was 2.5mm and heart rate was 94 bpm.
Is this normal??? The tech said it was but I just wondering how others measured at 5w6d exactly

Yay!! Congrats!!! I didn't have my first u/s until 6w3d, but that is great news! Amazing you saw the heartbeat that soon

Personally, my doctor couldn't even pick up the babies hb for us at my first u/s.. So I'm sure it's wonderful plus, from what I've heard, babies heart rate will rise a lot in the next couple of weeks! A heartbeat has to start somewhere, right?

So, I just consulted with Dr.Google, and women around 6w5d weren't even getting a heartbeat reading.. And if they were, it was approx. 85 bpm! I DEFINITELY say your little one is going strong

Okay good, that makes me feel much better....the tech dr guy said that it was def normal for my GA. And that it should go up as time goes on....yay!! Can't believe I we saw the hb haha

My 6+1 bubble was 5.5mm but tech told us its very innacurate when so small, and also the size pretty much doubles on weekly basis so a few days make a big difference. We saw a teeny heart fluttering away but no hb reading for us, lucky you!

Your very lucky you seen the hb
I went lastweek at 5+6 and the hb wasnt seen .
Was it an internal scan? x

I had my first ultrasound at 6w1d and measured at 6w3d, heartrate was 118! I go back on2/21 for my 8 week scan and the heartrate should have increased.

Yes, 94bpm is great for that young! In fact, you're so blessed to have seen it that early.

we had a scan today too (exactly 6 weeks) and we managed to see bubba and a heartbeat although they didnt tell us what the rate was but bubba only measured 2.1mm. So excited now

Thanks everyone for the responses!! I def feel more at ease.
And btw yes, it was an internal scan and I feel very blessed to even have seen it at all. In fact, we did abdominal ultrasound first and we saw the baby and the heartbeat abdominal lh first. But since I'm a crazy person I asked for the internal so we could get the bpm and the tech was happy to do it.
