6 dpo - possible symptoms or exaggerating? When can I test?

We've been ttc for a year, using a phone app to track periods and estimate ovulation.
Used ovulation tests this time...
I'm now 6 days past ovulation and have tender breasts, slight cramps and am bloated... Want a baby so badly, I want to test now, but worried its too soon.

Is it too early for pregnancy symptoms? Is it too early to test?
How many dpo should I TRY to wait before I do a pregnancy test?

i think its like 10 dpo you can try a test (don't rely on that though, I'm new) sorry I can't be any more help, but it sounds like good news

i would wait until at least 12 dpo! take it from a poas addict, seeing BFN time after time after time is depressing.. Actually i took one today at 10 dpo and nothing. i hope i had what is a implantation dip today....... so i knew it was too early to get a +
i have very very very slightly sore (.)(.)'s too, lets hope we're on our way to our positives

I too agree u should not test before 10dpo.. as the bfn are very depressing.. and i prefer to test on day AF supposed to show.. good luck..

Hi just popped over from second tri! today i am 13 weeks 3 Days.. the day after i conceived i was cramping and felt bloated.. i just knew that it was mhy month. i cramped all the way through till about 10 weeks or so! so i think your symptoms are looking good! with the testing question.. i baught 30 internet cheap tests of ebay and i could POAS every day if i liked i got my BFP 5days before af was due.. very faint line but definetly there.. I Then tested everyday and it was getting darker and darker.. then i baught clearblue digi and got my Pregnant 1-2 weeks.. good luck sweetie x

I would try to wait until 12dpo at the earliest to test. Implantation usually occurs between 6-12dpo. Hopefully you're experiencing implantation now with those symptoms. Good luck and be sure to update us with the result! FXd you get your BFP! Send lots of your way!!!

What type of test are you using? It could be that you ovulated a little later than you thought or just that you're not showing up as + as early. I would try testing again in a few days maybe using a CB digital or FRER. Good luck!

well i have a digi clear blue but that ones tell you how far gone i am so im kinda trying to save it until i get a positive. i did use tesco own brand because i wanted to have some spare. dh thinks i should wait until the weekend. i think friday. will let you know. jessie it will happen think positive! and if its not now for us it will be one day. wishing you all the best.

But it was a very very faint line!!!! Was it a slight positive, or did I look later than I thought and it's actually an evap line?

But it was a very very faint line!!!! Was it a slight positive, or did I look later than I thought and it's actually an evap line?

I'm having the same symptoms as you have and they started yesterday at 6 DPO. Very tender breast, slight cramps, bloated at certain time, EWCM, very irritated, irritated skin, acne (well just one but I never get any except for last pregnancy), lower back pain and super exhausted to a point where I just feel like crying. What's weird is that it all started yesterday!! Except for the cramping. I've started having slight cramps since 5 DPO.

So I hope it's a good sign. Make sure you didn't test with a dye blue! I got a false positive last cycle. So disappointed

Thanks, fingers crossed but trying not to get my hopes up. It's definitely pale pink not grey... But it is VERY faint... Im going to TRY and wait a couple of days before re-testing.
Ok, so I couldn't wait... First thing this morning (now 20 dpo, and period 2 days late - compared to average) and its another very faint line.
I know this was in the right timeframe as I sat desperately watching it with a stop watch next to me!

BUT it is soooo pale pink it's barely there... Am I just willing it to be there? Trouble is my partners away so I can't even ask his thoughts.

My average cycle is 34 days, I've been tracking then for a year now and all are between 31 and 33 days except one 29, one 36, and one 40....


I am going to try my best to hold out until after day 40 and if still no period then I will test again - please try and help me wait!

I only have 3 tests left and don't want to waste them but I just seem totally unable to resist testing....

Update... I was in fact pregnant. But unfortunately I had a miscarriage at 6 wks 4 days.
I cried for a week solid! Then just every morning and night for about a month (getting terribly emotional whenever i saw a baby/pregnant woman).
Things have gradually improved, and although I know I will never get over it, I feel that I am in a better place and am ready to try again.
I've just had my first period since the m/c and am petrified it will happen again!
In amongst all this I have also been diagnosed with a B12 deficiency (which can lead to birth defects and miscarriages - according to google)... Now that I'm on meds for that, I am just praying it'll work out next time!!!
