hi all,
i have had 6 mc in the last 2 years i have had all the test possible done and now finally the doc has put me on low dose asprin, i am really worried to start trying again as my last mc was not nice at all and really took it out on me. i really dont understand the asprin thing and how it can make me carry full term, if this dosnt work i have no clue what they can do for me next... i have a 5 year old daughter with the same partner and had no complications.. confused...xxxx:hug:

hi tinc30, firstly so sorry for your losses. i too have had 3 m/c's however with a different partner to my daughter. The fact that u have had a successful pregnancy is great news and as far as stastics go keep your chances are still very high of carrying a baby to term....i've been doing soooo much research!
Baby asprin thins the blood. If you blood is 'sticky' or too thick it will not pass thro to the baby and therefore the baby cannot survives. Needs to pass thro semi permible 'wall'. Not sure if thats exactly the right way of saying it but as far as i know thats the main reason. Alot of women have had a good outcome with asprin. How many weeks were your losses? I have just been put on baby asprin and currently 5 weeks but my m/c's were 4,5,and 6 weeks so fingers crossed.
Are you in the UK? Have u heard of Lesley Regan? She specialises in recurrant miscarriages, you could request to be reffered to her but she is based in London but has an excellent success rate.
Good luck and sending you lots of hugs xx

Actuallly 'sticky blood' syndrome (Hughes Syndrome) means that your blood creates tiny bloodclots which cause you no harm as they pass through your veins and arteries, however, they clog up and limit the blood supply to the fetus. This would normally show up on a blood work as you having raised levels of antiphospholipid antibodies. If you've had all the tests and they have not showed up anything of the sort i would personally have a look at Dr Beer's book ' is your body baby friendly' as he was a pioneer in mc's and treatments of them. Have a look at this link https://repro-med.net/info/cat.php

As far as the aspirin is concerned, it is a blood thinner, but it also aids in bloodflow to the reproductive organs and helps the build up of the endimitrium- which is all good :)

Having had 6 losses being on baby aspirin is going to do you no harm and may hopefully aid you.

I am so sorry for your losses and i wish you all the best and future success with all of my heart!

, Omi xxx

all my mc have been 6 weeks so i am sure there is just 1 reason for these happening, my gp has said that if this dosnt work then he is reffering me on to our hospital for further help. fingers crossed this time, thanks for replys xx:happydance:

I had a stilbirth last year because of a placental abruption (loads of clots on the placenta). I then went on to have 3 m/c's at around 5 weeks. I saw my consultant who put me on low dose aspirin, I fell pregnant 2 weeks later and I'm currently 17 weeks hoping this one is super sticky.

I swear by aspirin now, it has really helped me. Good luck with it hun, I'm so sorry for your losses, no one deserves that :hugs::hugs::hugs:

iam so sorry for your losses there not much i can add that the other girls have already said asprin is a blood thinner and will help to get more blood to the baby i do hope this work for you i will have my fingers crossed for you and update us when you get your bfp xx
