thanks guys, the doc did mention asprin but nothing came of it, i am back to see him in the morning so will mention it again xxx

I have never refered to my mc's as babies as i thought it would be to hard to deal with if i did, can i just ask for peoples views on this as i am unsure sometimes how to feel xx

Sorry for your losses, didnt want to read and run.

Hugs to u xx

We are the same.
Had dd no problems, then trying for 2 years, ended in mmc, trying for another 1 year, ended in m/c.
Everything appears to be ok with this one, but we have already decided if anything goes wrong, that is it, we are not trying again.
We already have our dd, so if we m/c again, we will just leave it at that and get on with our lives.
It's not just the miscarriages, its the wait inbetween in conceiving. Its ruling our lives, and we are not going to do it anymore.
I just pray this one works, as it feels like my last chance.

Good luck for the future with whatever you decide.
I think the hardest part is actually making the decision. Once I had actually said out loud 'this is the last time', it was as if a weight had been lifted.

hey tinc....i'm so sorry for you losses....:hugs:

you need to go and get a referral from your doctor though.....if you are in the uk, you more than qualify as you have had 6 mcs.......

they will do tests around chromosomes too, and sticky blood.....

i do hope that you won't have to go through this again though......:hugs:

:hug:I had 6 micsc before our first daughter. Found that my hubby had a problem that affected the chromosomes in some of his sperm. If we got a dodgey sperm , highly unlikely pregnancy would progress. We now have 4 wonderful children and 9 miscarriages along the way.
Think you should ask for a ob/gynae referral from your gp.
I also never referred to miscs as babies, but very individual choice.
Good luck in the future

I'm fed up after 3 mcs... I hope you have better luck in the future. Some people have told me about taking baby aspirin.

Hi Huni sorry for your losses:hugs: I know exactly how you feel I had my 3rd miscarriage 2 weeks ago and trying again:cry: I was 5.5 weeks gone and I was 12 weeks gone in sept and then last nov was 6.5 weeks Really hit me and does take an awful lot out of you hope your ok and if you need to chat I am here :hug: and hope you get a sticky :bfp::bfp: very soon and lots of :dust::dust::dust:

Hi there

i am so sorry to hear about your losses.

I wonder if it would be possible for you to get your GP to refer you straight to the hospital? In most places, once yo have had 3 losses they are classed as 'recurrent' and the hospital will investigate what is happening.

Where are you in the country? I know of a lot of people who have been referred to St Mary's in Paddington where Dr Lesley Reagan does a lot of work with women who have had recurrent losses.

People take asprin because they have a problem with clotting. This and other drugs like Heparin help to thin the blood and stop this from happening. It can due to a problem with lupus anticoagulant antibodies. If you do have this condition then without medication you only have a 10% chance of carrying a pregnancy to term. With medication this changes to around 70%

When we lost our son i was tested for this but we later found out that he had a cord accident.

I don't know if this is any help to you but I think that the hospital would probably be able to help you more now than your GP can.

Lesley
