6 months after MC and no BFP

I was just wondering if there was anyone else who had a miscarriage and still didn't have a BFP after at least 6 months.

I had my son 17 months ago and it only took 2 months to conceive him. We were NTNP until I became pregnant again in June. I had a D&C at 12 weeks due to a missed miscarriage.

We have been trying since then with absolutely no luck. I have noticed some spotting a few days before my period but I think I had that before my MC. I am terrified the D&C caused scarring or something.

I've been feeling really angry and stressed about this and just wish I knew why it's taking so long this time. I'll probably call the doctor if I don't get pregnant next month but I doubt they'll do any testing until it's been a year.

Anyone else in the same boat? I feel like most people on this board get pregnant soon after their miscarriage, and I feel like I'm in some strange area where I'm not in the infertile group yet but I'm clearly not among those who get pregnant quickly.

It would be nice to share ideas or thoughts. I'm currently taking 750 MG of vitamin c to try and raise my progesterone. Really, I think I just needed to try something to help my body out because I can't stand feeling so out of control in this situation.

I'm not in the same situation, my d&c was only 2 weeks ago (also for a mmc, discovered at 12 weeks). But have you tried all the usual things to increase your chances? Evening primrose oil, grapefruit juice and pre seed for cervical mucus? And have you read about the sperm meets egg plan (SMEP)? If not, google it! It may just be that your cycles have change a little and your timing is off slightly?

Thanks for responding. I just started taking vitamin c because I read about a study that says it can increase progesterone and lengthen the LP. I also use preseed some of the time. I used evening primrose oil with my son and b6 for the MC. So maybe I need to give something else a try. I'll check out the sperm meets egg plan too. I'm desperate for something to work! Good luck with your TTC! :)

I'm not trying at the moment but it took 10 months after my miscarriage to conceive my son. We started investigations into what was happening but I fell pregnant naturally. I was incredibly stressed about it like you and when I look back at that time I realise I was a little depressed. Just hang on in there.

You will get there I promise. It took me 9 months to conceive after my second loss (D&C) after conceiving very quickly the first two times. I think it can just take a while to heal from a D&C.
Sadly I went on the MC again after trying for all that time and had another D&C a couple of days ago. But I now know that if it takes a bit more time to conceive again then it's completely normal even though it's very frustrating.
It will happen :flower:

I'm in the same boat as you this month I would have been giving birth to my baby that I MCed. I started using progesterone cream unfortunately it make my stomach hurt really bad, I have an ultra sound sometime this month to see if my D&C has messed up the lining in my uterus. I think the more stressed we get about getting pregnant the harder it can become. Plus I think as women its in our nature to compare our selves to everyone I keep telling myself that a MC and D&C are a huge deal and it takes time for me to heal mentally and physically before I can become pregnant again and some people heal faster than I do.

I miscarried early September after Ttc for 1 cycle. I have 1dd and got pregnant on 3rd cycle. I guess I thought I'd already be pregnant by now and feel like you- everyone else seems to be pregnant pretty quick after mc. Hope you get your bfp soon xx

@Photopassion hello dear and im sorry for your loss. It has been about 6 months for me and still no bfp. I had a loss in August, did 4 iui's since then and still nothing. ive decided to try naturally this month until I see my RE tomorrow
