My baby is breastfed and I think the entire time I have only got her to burp maybe 5 times?
She is content and doesn't seem to have issues with it? Does it actually matter if she doesn't do it??
No it doesn't matter, your baby just isn't very windy. Count your blessings as my DD has to be held up after bf for 30mins or she'll be screaming in pain for the next 2hours with trapped wind!! My DS was exactly the same too. I'm soooo looking forward to when she can hold her head up as if I remember correctly that's when my DS was able to bring up his own gas!
Im so jealous! Our baby is super impatient during breastfeeding so she gets quite a bit windy and I need to burp her atleast several times a day (not always after each feeding, and normally always in the evening). Count your blessings
My baby never burps when breastfeeding. If he has a bottle, he'll burp - but never from the breast directly. My LC said sometimes they just don't take in much air when breastfeeding.
