7 oz or 8?? confused!

right, when i make katie's bottles, i put in 7oz of water. by the time i've put the powder in, it goes up to about 8oz.

so is she having 7oz or 8?? well confused!

I would say 7oz hon. It is a confusing one though.But I think the amount of oz refers to the amount of water before the milk is added xx

I wondered about this as well. When my OH feeds Kathryn and I ask hw much she has had he aways says 1oz extra because that's what it looks like in the bottle!

Thank goodness you all agree, i thought it was just me and my dh disagreeing about this!! My dh thinks this is the reason i have a huge baby because i'm giving her an extra ounce! I keep telling him it's the measurement befor the powder but he won't listen!!! Am going to show him this post now to prove my point........ xx

in our case it's a matter of wishing Hannah drank more formula than she really does

hubby and i have discussed this too...
would it not be the higher oz tho, since the baby is actually taking the complete solution i.e. water and powder.... not just the water....

i asked hv yesterday and she said its 7oz cos it refers to the amount of water before!! i still think its confusing tho!xx

i too say how much water is in there before formula, so maddi has 7oz of water even if its made up to more after powder x

How ya supposed to know then how much they take if they don't completely drain the bottle.... i'll keep putting the cat amongst the pigeons just for fun

i always wondered about this too, then i decided 7 as i put in 7oz water 7 scoops of powder, also wen i do it it just looks like an oz of froff lol, n if i give it logan straight away the froff is usually still in bottle when hes finished so i dont worry.x
