Hi,
I just wanted to ask if anyone else has this problem?. I had an emergency c section 7 weeks ago and my stomach is still round and quite firm, I look about 6 months pregnant!!. It went down a lot in the first few weeks, but for the last 2 weeks it has stayed the same :(
I know it's still quite soon after my c section and it is to be expected that my stomach won't go flat that quickly , but all the other Mums I know who have had c sections, their stomachs have at least gone jelly like and flabby, mine still looks really round and firm!!.

I've had my 6 week check and the consultant said everything appears to be ok. My womb, uterus etc have gone back to normal and I've not got diastasis recti and no infection ( I stopped bleeding 2 weeks ago)
She just said it will go down in time.
I'm breastfeeding and eating sensibly, but my stomach just won't go down.
Pre pregnancy I'm size 8-10 and put 2 stone on during pregnancy.
Anyone else had this and when did your stomach go back to normal?.

Sorry to go on !!!
Thanks x

P.s I Also lost 2 stone in the first 2 weeks after the section and only have 10lb to lose to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight. I'm not bothered about that though, I just want my stomach to lose the ' pregnant look ' and least go flabby!!!.

totally normal. I cried like a baby because I still looked pregnant and all of my other friends who delivered vaginally had their flat belly back.

Im 9 weeks post section and still look pregnant (not fat but pregnant) I know it's early but I'm so sad! I went back to the gym this week but it's like using my muscles has pushed them out even further

It took me about 6 months to get my belly somewhat flat again. And to be perfectly honest. It took me 2 years to lose all the baby weight. Then I got knocked up again :dohh: But don't rush the process and be easy on yourselves. You have a big job being a mom and if you are breastfeeding it is not a good idea to lose weight or diet as you can do harm to your milk which in turn is no bueno for baby. Don't worry, It will come off in time.

Totally normal. I still wore my maternity pants and some shirts for six months post C-section. Give it time, and try not to worry.. I know it kind of stinks, but I'm 11 months post with twins and only just starting to feel like I'm flattening out and looking like my old self(although still have flabby skin :nope:)

:hugs:
