Colby had hers today. She passed everything :cheer:
She had to sit for 2 minutes by herself, catch a tiny piece pf paper, roll over, stand with support and listen to different sounds and she passed, didnt even cry once :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

Only thing they are still worried about is her length, so ive to take her to 2 baby clinics to get her weighed and measured then make an appointment back with the gp to see what he is going to do

She is also being refferd to an oncologist (sp?) for her eyes as the doc recons she has a thin layer of skin over the white part in her left eye wich is making it turn in more than it should, so just need to wait on an appointment to see what they say about it at the hospital.

But apart from all that she was really good and she got books a new tooth brush and toothpaste

dont you just love freebies :cheer: :cheer:

Aww bless her i'm so glad she did so well :D
The %$^&**(£$ Health team here did nothing like that with jack  Just took my word for it he could do stuff!!!

Hope her appointment for oncologist comes through soon hun, i haven't heard of a condition like that be fore

Yay for the freebies :D

Lily-Mae didnt do anything like that at her assesment either, she had hers yesterday. The HV just asked me if she could do stuff. We didnt get a toothbrush either, we got a babies into books pack. ive wrapped the books up for xmas though
Lily-Mae is suspected to have a squint so she has to see an oncologist too (i couldnt remember the name though, and just put eye specialist on my post lol)

hope it all goes well huni x

the babies into books pack had the tooth brush & tooth paste in it ina seperate clear zip pack, the books are fab though i remember when Adele got the book pack they were rubbish books, but i love these ones and might just pinch your idea and wrap them up for Colby too as i havent got her anything yet

Awwwwwwwww excellent hun, I hope the hospital appointment goes well and it can be corrected easily enough! :hugs: x

ive just been told on another forum that an oncologist is for cancer i must have picked up the wrong name by mistake from the doctor

I didn't know you got the department wrong, so I didn't want to alarm you!

But yes, if it was anything to worry about you would not be waiting for an appointment, trust me, I have first hand experience with cancer and how they do things!

It must have been something like an optometrist you are referred to?

Thanks for the reasurance though and im really sorry you had to go through that
:(

im sure i must have picked it up wrong but will hopefully get an appointment in soon rather than waiting 8 months like i had to wait with Adele

Thanks again girls

I am pretty certain they have indeed referred your lo to an orthoptist. It is a person who assess small children for a squint. If they feel there is a problem then they will get them assessed by an ophthalmologist who is a consultant who specialises in eyes. They may well get the hospital optometrist to check and see if she needs glassess as some squints are caused by long sightedness and can be corrected without surgery. Surgery is normally done when a little older tho. If you have any questions feel free to pm me and I will do my best to answer them for you as I am an optometrist (but not in hospital, in high street practice). A lot of children referred for squint don't actually have squints .
