Has anyone has experienced this about a couple of weeks ago my son just didn't want his dummy which is good thing in a way but really hard to settle him at time when he's really tired

Neither of mine ever accepted one... and I've been so desperate for sleep with DD that believe me, I've tried. In the long run it's a plus.

I always take away the pacis at some point between 6 and 9 months old. It does take more work to help them learn to settle themselves, but give it time, and it will happen. We stick to a very predictable bedtime routine so all of the kids know what to expect and naturally get drowsy at the end because their bodies know it's time for them to go to sleep.
