8 week appt w/ OB - says I am measuring small?

hey cupcakemomma...how did it go???????
I just came back from my US....and it seems that even though i completed 8 weeks from first day of LMP, the baby is still 6 weeks. But it has DEFINITELY grown from last time.
It grew from 1.37mm to 3.74mm in one week. so doc thinks we might need to recalculate my due date but right now he is just going to monitor me for another month...US every week...

dietrad - i have had internal US only - doc needs my calculations are wrong...we were pretty sure but who knows nature!

am just praying the baby keeps growing...healthy!

also they put me on hormone supplements...

Glad everything went well for you, waiting4baby! Stinks that you were pushed back a couple weeks, but at least the baby is healthy!
Okay... Now for my update: I just got back from the U/S about an hour ago. Not good news. At 9+1, there is only an empty sac. No baby, no heartbeat. And they did both the belly and vaginal scan. I tried SO hard not to break down in front of my Dr. and nurse, but I just couldn't. I lost it. And to make matters worse, I could hear the *whosh whoosh whoosh* sound of a heartbeat of an ultrasound in the next room, when Doc delievered the sad news. I go back in a week for another ultrasound, but it doesn't look promising. She tried explaining how maybe I got pregnant later than I thought I did, but the dates don't line up from when I got my first + preg test (5 weeks ago) I haven't bled or been cramping at all, so it was quite the shock to DH and I. I am glad we found out now, instead of the 12 week scan. It would be 10x worse then. Sorry this is so lengthy, but I am just a mess right now. I might not be around BnB much, unless a miracle happens, and the baby is okay. Which I am praying for!!!

Don't worry cupcakemomma...am praying for you for your next U/S! Am curious to know..did they do your blood test too? I will be having weekly bloodtest and U/s from here on till 5 more weeks.
Also for me, we just now that the baby is growing but i dont know if we can know the health of the baby yet. I have certainly similar timelines as yours. Doc says baby is definitely 2 weeks behind...but the dates just do not line up! If we go by the rules and timelines in books etc, then my baby does not line up with that...

Waitingbaby- Dh and I don't have health insurance, so my Dr. didn't do the bloodtests just to save us money-wise. And my next u/s is not this Friday, but next (so 2 weeks in between ultrasounds). My preg symptoms are all still there, so I'm hoping everything will work out, but I'm also trying not to get my hopes up to get crushed again. I really do appreciate yours thoughts and prayers. I'm doing the same for you

I miscarried today.
yesterday was my period date and i started bleeding with contractions every 5-20 mins....rest is tears

Waiting I'm so sorry ...but are you sure it was a MC? Some girls have had periods when their next cycle was due but the baby was fine....

I am so sorry, waitingbaby I'm going through my miscarriage right now, and it is one of the hardest things I've ever gone through, emotionally and physically. I wish you lots of STICKY baby dust, for when you decide to try again. *Hugs* I'll be around the Miscarriage forum, if you want to pop over there at all. The ladies there are really supportive.
