80's Fancy Dress

Hello

Have been invited to an Engagement party but the theme is 80's fancy dress (why??!!!). Any ideas what I can go as? Not sure will be able to buy a full on costume from a fancy dress shop due to bump. OH is going as 80's footballer Ruud Gullit.

Any ideas would be most appreciated! Need to get ordering online as it is next Saturday...argh!!!

Thinking of maybe a black vest top and leggings with different coloured neon tutu, leg warmers, sweat band, lace gloves, big hair etc. Found a plus size tutu on ebay for £5 - should get round bump I reckon.....

Any other ideas or how to improve this one, most appreciated!

yup exactly what i was thinking!you can be comfortable wear flat black shoes,leggings,tutu,top,lace fingerless gloves,crimp your hair,tie some lacey bits of material in your hair,some light accessories like pair hoops,a crucifix or cross!

We went to one of these once oh went as Adam ant mmm leather trousers!

Another easy one is some neon cycling shorts and buy a mullet wig and a t shirt off eBay that says choose life voilà u are one of wham!!

Or you could get an oversized tshirt printed with 'choose life' like wham with black leggins and accessories (bangles hoop earings etc..) cause you can use the tshirt for labour or hospital and the leggings again. You can either get the tshirt printed cheaply at a shop or you can get special computer paper that you make your own transfers and iron them on.

I went to a 80's fancy dress before I was pregnant bought a ruffle style shirt for about £18 and there it has stayed in my wardrobe never to be used again! So I would try and get something you can reuse.
