9 rounds of clomid, 2 failed IUI...is it time to move on?

DH and I have been ttc for 3 years now with no bfp ever I was on clomid for 4 months (50 mg) then took two months off and our new RE upped my dosage to (100 mg) Im on my 9th month now hoping to do our 3rd IUI next weekend. I was just wondering if anyone else had been on clomid this long and got a bfp? and how many failed IUI's before moving on to IVF?

I've heard a lot of people that have gotten a BFP on their 3rd or 4th IUI. I think we will move on to IVF after the fourth IUI.

Thanks! Good luck to you!! How many dpo are you? I have a consultation with our RE next week and I think we are gonna still do this last IUI but I'm not gonna temp for a few months, then prob move onto IVF. Dh said he was gonna hide my thermometer lol

I'm 7 dpo, trying not to symptom spot, but we all know thats impossible. I would definitely do the last one, the only thing it could hurt is your pocketbook. And in the grand scheme, it's way cheaper than IVF. At my clinic, there are several steps to take before you can sign up for IVF, we are slowly doing those steps so we can be ready to do the IVF if we get there. Even if it takes 4 IUI's, its still $1600 vs $18,000

I have heard of a lot of women wh get pg with their 3rd or 4th iui. If you are emotionally prepared and can handle more iui's I would give them another try or two. I did 4 and all bfn, so we are moving on to ivf. I had surgery in March to remove stage 3 endo and two fibroids and the iui's were all done post surgery. My RE advised 2-3 iui's with clomid after surgery, so gave it more than a fair shot before moving on!
