Joel used to be really good at naps until this week. He will sleep for 30 minutes, or sometimes not even that, more like 15, and then wake up, have a snack and then go down again. At night, he's been waking every hour, feeding for 5 minutes and then falling asleep again. Is this a growth spurt or is he nursing to fall asleep? He's had the 6 week growth spurt already.

I need some ideas about how to encourage longer naps again, I feel shattered. I can get him to sleep ok but he wakes up after half an hour every time, and I know he's still tired because he cries and yawns. I would estimate he's only sleeping about 4 hours in the day and 12 st night.

I don't mind nursing to sleep, but not all day as I have a toddler and a house to look after!

The cat naps are pretty normal at this age, but very annoying and especially difficult if you have a toddler to care for! Is there anywhere he might transition through sleep cycles a bit easier? Perhaps in a swing or even a carrier?

At night, I'm thinking he's going through a growth spurt. 2 months is a bit young for sleep associations to be super strong, so the wakings are likely due to hunger and/or gas.
