Hi. Sam is now 9 weeks old and we are still BF on demand. Should he be in more of a routine by now? As when he had his jabs last week the nurse asked me how often he fed in the day and I said I have no idea I feed him on demand. She seemed a little surprised by this which got me thinking should I be trying to get him into a feeding routine? I have no idea how to approach this either xx

i still don't have a routine for Kitty  im sure i had kind of one with my boy by her age but its still whenever wherever at the moment! when she is on solids im sure we will settle into one, i wouldn't worry hon just do whatever works for you

My DD is 10 weeks and 5 days and we still don't have a routine.. I have just been feeding on demand but wondering about trying to get her into a routine as I can't plan shopping trips or anything very well... case in point.. today we went shopping and i thought she would be due a feed soon so I got a hot choccy in starbucks and parked myself in the corner with her.. she would not feed at all and started crying instead.. so I left, changed her and then 15 minutes later she was demanding food.

I am planning to keep a time schedule/diary of when she feeds just to see if there is a slight routine there already that I am missing and can try and develop it a bit further.

Hi thats a good idea I will try and keep a diary and see what happens. thank you xx:thumbup:

Ella's nearly 10 weeks and she feeds on demand but we do have a routine. She normally wants a feed every 2/3 hours but if she doesn't I will try and feed her anyway she's such a little pig she doesn't complain lol. She sleeps through the night so I don't like her going too long between day feeds. If we go out I will feed her just before going.
