Hi ladies, I could really do with some reassurance.

I found out I was pregnant when I was around 4ish weeks and from then on my symptoms came on pretty strong. My boobs were REALLY tender and had bright blue veins, my nipples were darker and really sensitive and they got bigger almost instantly.

I wasn't throwing up lots, only a few times but I had neusea all day and smells of certain foods would repel me. I would get headaches, backaches, fatigue to the point where I need to nap during the day most days. I had no energy and couldn't even stand cooking for over a month because standing up that long would make my head spin. I would need to get up to pee about twice a night. Also my skin was breaking out REALLY badly, the worst it ever has.

Anyway, now I'm just 9 weeks along and have yet to have a scan. My concern is that my symptoms are starting to fade. My skin is starting to clear up, my morning sickness is almost gone (last time I felt it was about 4 days ago) and I have more energy. I've been cooking meals perfectly fine and standing up for a while isn't a problem. The only thing that has really remained is my fatigue, I still need naps most days and find it really hard to wake up in the morning and I still need to get up to pee most nights.

I am worried that it means I might miscarry, as a lot of women have said that before they do their symptoms started going away. I am really freaking myself out and need to talk to someone about it. I am planning on organising a scan next week, but my doctor has been on leave and I would really prefer to go to him rather than anyone else.

Any ideas? Am I being overly paranoid or is this normal? Please help!

I had some nausea, vomiting, sensitivity to certain smells and sore breasts from about my 6th week until the end of my 8th week. I am currently 10 wks and 3 days. I just had an ultrasound today and the baby is growing great and has a nice strong heartbeat (163) I was also panicking because my mom and sister kept telling me how bad their symptoms were and I felt fine for the most part. I know I am still not out of the woods yet and I probably will be anxious until I hold him or her but from what I have read symptoms and the length of time a person suffers from them varies pregnancy to pregnancy so try not to worry. And I also want to add for my first pregnancy I was terribly sick and that resulted in a miscarriage so just thank your lucky stars that your feeling better and hope for the best. Good luck hon.

symptoms can come and go or just disappear.doesnt mean anything sinister is happening so try not to worry.

Thanks :)

I know I might just be being paranoid but I can't help it. I just want so badly for everything to be ok and for my baby to be healthy.

I called my doctor to organise a scan and mentioned my symptoms disappearing and they didn't seem concerned. They said I won't need to come in for a scan until 12 weeks and booked me in then.

I guess it's just a waiting game until then. :nope:

im going through the same thing.. I haven't had many symptoms any ways besides constipation, sore breasts, and a little fatigue. Never had any morning sickness what so ever But since two days ago my breast have stop aching. Have my first appointment on Friday and it can't come fast enough I am so nervous and worried i am hoping to at least hear the heartbeat if I am to early for a scan but speaking to the physicians assistant I may get a scan... I believe this is normal and I cannot wait till Friday..

I had horrible ms that was pretty much all day sickness. Threw up once a day if not more. That eased off about half a week ago. Boobs aren't as sore either. But I still am very tired everyday so I'm in the same boat but I think we're alright :hugs:

The placenta is going to start taking over soon, and that's generally when your major pregnancy symptoms tend to disappear. Somewhere between 9-12 weeks is usually when you start to feel better. Being tired still is because your body is producing soooo much extra blood for the baby/placenta it's basically making you anemic. I know it's scary when your symptoms seem to be disappearing, but it is normal for them to edge off eventually. And that point is different for every women. I was feeling pretty good for a few days, and then today has been a bad day. But it's slowly starting to get better for me.

Thanks heaps for your responses, they do help.

I initially had a scan booked at 12 weeks but I'm caving and going in today. I can't sit and wait for 3 more weeks especially if there aren't symptoms!

I'm SO nervous I feel like I'm going to throw up! wish me luck and I'll keep you posted with what happens.:flower:

The placenta starts to take over from as early as 8 weeks - 12 weeks. So that just maybe it. My symptoms started to ease at 8 weeks. I have a doppler so I know baby as a heartbeat. The only thing I put it down to is the placenta. I still get nauseous now and then and smells still irritate me but nothing to what I was like in week 5-7 xxx

hiya, dont worry, mine eased off at the same time. I read that as your placenta starts growing and starts to take over this is what eases off the hormones that cause you to feel shitty lol

althought every now and then i randomly throw up lol but the nausea has eased off.

enjoy it!
