9 weeks, no heartbeat on doppler.. So worried I could cry :(

I just heard a small pitter patter finally yesterday. It didn't pick up the rate though.

With my daughter who is now 4yrs old I couldn't hear a heart beat on my Doppler till 14 weeks.

It's very very VERY common for people not to hear the heartbeat before 12 weeks. When I was a midwifery student the majority of the midwives I worked with would not even attempt to listen for the FHR unless the woman promised not to be freak out if it wasn't found, because earlier on it's so common for them not to find it even with their dopplers which are superior to home devices. Most of the OB's I have worked with won't even try to listen before 12 weeks even if the women beg to avoid creating the unnecessary stress.
