I had my implant removed almost 3 weeks ago.
I had my first AF in 3 years 18th-23th august.. so i worked it out and me and the OH :sex: on friday.

We also did before that but I doubt it'd have been successful, so tried again.

I'm in a bit of a dilema, what're the chances after having my implant taken out only 3 weeks ago of getting a BFP when i test?

and when should I test? I worked it out to be a week on thursday but I might be completely wrong, this is new to me so my heads getting in a faff!

I keep wanting to test even though it's only been a week and 3 days since me and the OH first tried, and 2 days since we last did!

How you ladies manage to wait so long is beyond me.

JellBell,
Not too sure about the implant but I know with the pill you get a withdrawl bleed anytime you stop taking them. So it is likely your dates 18-23 (I think you meant August?) were from a withdrawl bleed. It is hard to say if you then ovulated. You may not actually OV til after your next AF. I think some times people do and others dont. But I have also heard of girls getting PG with twins only a week or 2 after stopping their BC because their cycle is so whacked.
Sounds like it is to early to test either way tho. Do you know how long your cycles were?

It is said that you can be the most fertile after coming off the combined pill, so you may find it similar with the implant, but that's my non professional opinion of course. I don't think you have any less of a chance getting preggas after coming off it anyways, especially if you had a period. I know it's mega hard but try and wait until you are a few days late, I tested 5 days early last month and got a positive but lost it just around the time period was due which was rather gutting - for many women they wouldn't even know they had got preggas but it's just nature's way of screening out the pregnancies that may not be healthy. It was first month of ttc so I guess I am thinking it may take your body a while to get used to it all, who knows. My little sister had a cheeky one night stand a couple of years ago and wham bam pregnant and healthy baby nine months later! Some people are too fertile for their own good! Loads of luck, hope you get a positive :)

Also, try and keep as busy as possible, I didn't in the 2ww last month and it made me do too many tests, spent a fortune haha...

I have no idea how long my cycles are due to not having AF for the past 3 years!

I'm hoping that the bleed was AF as it didn't occur till a few days after i had the implant removed.. I've had it out for 3 weeks tomorrow, and the bleed didn't start till 3-4 days after.

I remember before I had the implant put it my cycle was about 28 days, i know it was pretty regular and on time.

I know it's unlikely I'm pregnant.. me and the OH did it a 2 days after the implant was removed, and twice this weekend just gone.

He's moved to around a hours drive away for the next 7 months.. so if it hasnt worked, i'm only going to be seeing him around once every 2-3 months so i may have to wait until I move in with him in June time next year.

well i entered my info into one of those tickers and thats the info it gave me!
if it's correct i'll test a week today. :D

As long as AF doesn't come...:growlmad:
