This is just a heads up, not blaming ikea in anyway, type post for anyone who might be as daft as I am.
I got the duktig kitchen and the little stoneware plates for my LO. Today while she was playing, putting the plates away, she banged them together. Because they are children's toy plates and they didn't bang hard, for some dopey reason, I didn't check them for chips or broken bits.
This evening she stood on a shard that had broken off and been camouflaged on our floor and cut her foot open. Blood everywhere and one frightened toddler.
She's okay now but I just wanted to warn people in case anyone is as daft as I am and doesn't realise that they aren't made to be specially strong or specially coated not to chip just because they are made for children like I assumed they were! Not Ikea's fault at all (they do say recommended for three and up and LO is only two).
So if they get banged together (well, more of a hard tap really while playing) check them for chips ASAP!
