Hi my name is Liz and I've been married for 8-1/2 yrs, I am 27, DH is also 27, i have been pregnant 2 times but never carried full term, both resulted in early misscarriages. We have now decided to embark in further testing and fertility treatments, today i had a dr's appointment, progestorone and LSH came back normal and good. ???? i don't understand and i am so frustrated, next step now is to get a hysterosalpingogram done for me and a semen analysis for DH, so now i have to wait for AF to arrive once again then get my x-ray done. All this waiting is frustrating me, as you can tell I don't have much patience, but come on now 8 years and still no bundle of joy. My dr prescribed metformin, since I get ovarian cyst and get horrible pain he said it would help and I am happy to say it actually has helped, but the side affects suck, lol. I am praying my tubes aren't blocked and i don't even want to think about possibly edemetreosis, I am so anxious to get this done with, I for sure thought he would say we were going to be doing Clomid but it's not gunna happen.

I hope to make great friends here since i am new to this website, it's very hard to find women who understand what we are going through. My faith has carried me this far and I continue to have faith and know in my heart it will happen for all of us. :hugs:

welcome to the site, im currently going thought my first ivf/icsi cycle we have ttc 14yrs i have pcos and a blocked right tube i had been on metformin and clomid for nearly 2yrs but no luck, last year i got bfp but sadly mc at 7weeks, fingers crossed u get some answers soon and get that bfp u deserve x

Welcome to the site. Its great that you are now getting some further tests done and hopefully this will give you the answers you need to move on to another stage of your ttc journey.

I have just had that test done (last in a long line of tests for me) - it wasn't the best news for me but at least I know whats wrong.

Good luck hon. xxx

welcome to bnb! good news that you are having further tests done and hopefully you will soon get your bundle of joy you truly deserve. good luck xx

thanks ladies for the great welcome. I had been hesitant to join the site because a couple of years ago when we were actively trying I ended up getting so obsessed and it was very unhealthy for my marriage. We did get pregnant but sadly had another mc at 12 weeks, we have been trying for a lil over 3 years again and this time i feel different, I have a greater faith than i have ever had, and I feel at peace but we decided to go through with the testing to make sure there isn't something severely wrong. I am thankful that we are financially able to go through with the testings, unfortunately i don't have insurance so everything is out of pocket for us. Do any of you know what insurances cover fertility?? My broker said he can't find any, isn't it horrible???

Well baby dust to all of you and let's pray for bfp's all around.

Hiya and welcome x

Im having one of them sonography things as well on my next cycle. Just waiting for AF to arrive at weekend so i can ring up and get it booked.

Good luck with urs xx

Hi, I've just joined this site. I have been TTC for 4 years. After the first two years I did finally manage to get pregnant naturally (we discovered along our journey that hubby had undiagnosed diabetes) once he received his treatment I got pregnant, 9 weeks into the pregnancy I M/C 6 weeks later I fell pregnant again naturally with twins but lost them at 8 weeks my last pregnancy ended in Aug 2008. I have been trying from then until now and have not got pregnant. GP referred my to Gyne after hormone tests showed problems. I was scanned and told I had PCOS but without the cysts. Consultant put me on Clomid 50mg but this did not make me ovulate, previously the nurse had scanned my ovaries but my consultant wanted to double check things and found that I did actually have cysts on my ovaries and changed my dosage to 100mg this has made me ovulate but I still not pregnant. I am so worried as Clomid is working and I am extremely doctor, hospital phobic and worry what happens when the consultant says no more clomid..

Hi stoney and serendippy, welcome as well. Well I just got AF today so now I have to make my appointment to get HSG done this coming week, the day after we are getting SA done for the hubby. I've been having weird symptoms from the metformin the FS prescribed, and now my cycle is shorter so I am all out of whack, it used to be every 28 days now it is every 24 so I am confused as to when I ovulate although i showed i ovulated on day 13, i am very confused. Have any of you ladies experienced this?

Serendippy - looks like we are going to be experiencing the HSG around the same time, good luck and I hope they don't find anything wrong in there

Stoney -I am sorry to hear about your misscarriages, I completely understand the heartbreak. My husband also has diabetes and got diagnosed about 2 years ago, so that might be another reason we havent been able to concieve, that is why we have to get an SA done. I will pray for you as well. Don't worry I have had plenty of friends that conceived on clomid and some took up to 1 year for it to work, and one had been ttc for 8 yrs and finally did after 1 yr of Clomid. So just relax and just keep thinking this will work.

Hiya chris'girl

Ive had a bit of a setback cos i havent ovulated this month and ive had no AF so far. It kinda looks like im gonna miss AF for this cycle and itll prob come at the end of the next cycle..im a bit gutted to be honest cos i just want this thing over and done with.

Good luck for urs hun xxxx

thanks serendippy, my appointment for HSG is on May 4th so I am very nervous but just thinking about positive stuff. My dh is having his SA the day after, but we have decided to go onto IUI if all else fails, so I am very optimistic now.

How r u ladies doing?
