A little help please. Eternity rings after first born??

I thought eternity rings were given after about 10 years of marriage?! I'm definitely not expecting one when this little one pops out!

Me an hubby been together almost 11year, married for 3 this halloween and im pregnant with our 3rd child. Hubby has only just ordered my eternity ring for this anniversary.

Right, had a conversation with her yesterday. She laughed at me and told me definitely not to get one, she said she would much rather have one in a few years when I can afford to get her a really nice one. What a relief, I was really stressing about it but didn't want to over stretch myself while she was off work for the year. Thanks for the advice, I think I did get a few points for thinking about it tho!

I've never heard of this tradition of giving an eternity ring after the birth of your firstborn either....

I know I'm certainly not expecting an eternity ring after LO is born. We'll only be celebrating our first wedding anniversary next week. I would say if you really want to get her some sort of jewellry item, maybe consider getting her a necklace or earings (if she wears them) with the LO's birthstone? I used to have a family ring when I was little that had my parents birthstones on the outside, and mine in the middle and I loved it! I certainly plan to do the same thing again for my own new family.

We've been together 5 years and I'm still waiting on an engagement ring hahaha, so I know I'm not getting an eternity ring. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE a necklace, ring or something with all of our birthstones in it (or just hers even ) however, my bf is not sentimental AT ALL, so I don't see this happening.
