TTC is just around the corner now - woo!

What do you all think of

Hugo

I love it, it's a bit of a guilty pleasure name and I thought OH would veto it but today he said yes he likes it too

And for a girl:

Orla or Ivy

With Grace as a middle name I think. I also like Lily, Olivia and Dora (OH prob wouldn't go for Dora!)

Any suggestions in the same vein would be appreciated!

Im currently liking kyle, jacob, henry and freddie (2 freddies maybe lmao). For girls i like jade, sophie and lucie

There loads of names i like but if it was up to me id do (subject to change :haha: id go

Jacob Paul D.............
Jade Sophie D..............

I love Ivy, one of my favourites for sure. Orla is pretty, too. I'm not big on Hugo because the first thing I think of is the character from Lost... which isn't the nicest mental image. :haha:

Lily and Olivia are nice but I think they've both peaked big time recently. I don't care for Dora, again, because of character association (apparently that's a big thing for me...). All I hear when I see that name is the Dora the Explorer theme song.

Anyway, I would definitely go with Ivy or Orla. Both very nice. :)

Ah that's interesting because I've never watched Lost so that association is lost on me (excuse the pun!). Wonder if most people would think that too...

Yes I love Ivy and Orla I can't decide which the most :) OH likes Orla more I think

Hows about darcie. Closets thing to dora i can think of

Orla and ivy are two of my most favourite girl names!! My daughter is ivy but after she was named I discovered orla and felt gutted I hadn't chosen it. However I adore ivy so it's all good :) I think Hugo is a fine name. Its not my taste but wouldn't say its a bad choice :)

Ah that's lovely! Do you get comments on your daughter's name? Ivy is so pretty x

You have the same taste in names as me! Ivy Grace was our front runner if this ones a girl, but I've changed my mind to Edie Grace (Edith) Orla is also on the list.

I wouldn't choose Hugo myself (I think mainly because there's a horrible little boy called that at a play centre I go to!) but I do like it. I think it's one of those names that divide opinion. Arlo is our chosen boys name, and I know there'll be a few raised eyebrows amongst friends and family!

Yes all the time. On both my daughters names (oldest is Rosalie) my HV always remembers it too as it was the only baby ivy she had known. For me Ivy and Orla are on a par so definitely don't envy your decision there. I also really like a pp suggestion of Darcie :)

Love Orla and Ivy, not a big fan of Hugo, but not sure why.

Other names ending in o:
Milo
Arlo
Paulo
Leo
Theo
Benito

I like Hugo, but would probably call him Huey on a day to day basis if it was me.

Ivy is pretty, never heard of Orla before, it sounds very foreign and exotic!

I LOVE Hugo!!! Hubby and I had put it top of the list for if we had a boy! But had a girl so didn't need it!

I also love the name Hugo. And I've seen Lost (a big fan) but I dont automatically think of that character. That show ended so long ago, I wouldn't let that deter you from this great name.

Yay some Hugo fans!

Minties I don't think Orla is particularly exotic, it's actually an Irish name :)

I like all 3 of the names, really good choices!
I find that Nora is in the same style and a great name (of course I'm biased)

I like Hugo espec with the nn Huey!

I really like Orla too.
