A "Poll" You've all done a million times :-p

I was told blood flow was fine today, but to be on modified bed rest to try to gain more weight. LOL Anyone else told to be more lazy to put on weight?

That's funny!! I've actually lost wait this pregnancy so far.

I'm exactly the same weight as when I got pregnant and the OB said to me on Monday that all was fine?

I have been told to be more lazy but not so much a weight thing as to have better blood flow (which has been fine the last two ultrasounds but they just want to get my little man as big as possible) and keep contractions under control. Every time I see my peri or OB they ask me if I am still being a couch potato like they told me to lol.

Yay, I love reading about (stalking) other twin moms.

I found out at 7 weeks we were having twins. 8w4d I had a severe bleed and turns out I had a Subchorianic Hematoma. I was put on strict bed rest till 12 weeks, when it appeared to have gone away. Stayed modified till 15 weeks when I had another unexpected bleed. This time it was from placenta previa. Grrrr. I'm on "rest" a lot and don't lift anything over 10 lbs. :dohh:

So far this pregnancy has been eventful for sure. Hoping it turns boring. I'm almost 17 weeks and have been doing well so far. I know I still have a long way to go. Love to hear about positive outcomes from you mamas. :flower:

I'm not pitying on much weight but no one seems concerned. I don't know how much I've gained totally but maybe about 6 lbs now. I hope it means I will lose a lot of weight when they are born :)

It was the MFM that told me to gain 30-40 lbs (even though I started out above average) and she's the one that told me I need to rest more and eat more to get the weight on. Was it your regular OB or MFM that said it was fine?

- Small bleed @ 7 weeks and heavy bleed @ 9 weeks - told to rest.
- Unofficial pPROM @ 19 weeks. pPROM diagnosed at 22+5 steroids given and told to rest (but not complete bed rest). CTGs twice a week from then on and monthly scans.
- IUGR for twin 2 diagnosed @ 35 weeks. Steroids given again and CTGs every other day from then on.
- Induced and delivered @ 37+1 fantastic 6 hour labour with no complications for the babies. Small but fine at 5lb 10oz and 4lb 1oz - stayed with me the whole time no need for NICU.

They are my little miracle babies really as no one in the hospital thought I would make it to 37 weeks after pPROM. I remember the grim looks the doctors gave me. Funny how in the end there was no sign of them coming on their own before induction.

The MFM OB at the hospital where I am under the high risk team.

Induced at 37+4 - 8 hour labour vaginal delivery. Sailed through pregnancy nothing to note health wise - got an unhealthy addiction tonpeanut butter kitkats though and gained 70lbs!!!

Born by planned c section at 36&4 due to them sharing a placenta and section because they were breech. They showed no signs of coming out by themselves.

I had no issues apart from tireness and being very large in the last trimester. xx

Thanks guys!!! I should explain a little more, I was curious because the parents have asked me to see a high risk doctor starting at 23 weeks, and I'm also supposed to move 3 hours away to the nearest top level NICU. Our hospital is rated right below them, but they want the best. I am trying to find a way to explain that just because it's twins, I'm not automatically high risk :flow:

Updating because I delivered after posting. The girls were delivered at 35+5 via c section. They needed NICU for 5 days because of breathing issues.

They each have their own placentas correct? That reduces the risk. The nearest NICU is 4 hours for me. The high risk doctor said he would let me know if I needed to stay closer.

Induced with pitocin at 38 weeks because they weren't coming on their own... Just hanging out at 6cm.
Was on 'house arrest' then 'modified bed rest' and then 'we're going to put you in the hospital if you don't stay on the damn couch rest' in the 20s week, I don't remember exactly what. No meds aside from prenatals.
