a question for anyone who uses the smiley face ov tests...

hi there, I have a question for anyone who uses the smiley face ov tests...when you get your smiley face what does the strip look like when you pull it out....is it 2 dark lines?

Im asking as Ive had 7 negative Ov tests right around my usual Ov time. When I pull out the strips the 2nd line is barely there, so Im assuming I have either missed my O, not Oing this month, or its late. In the instructions they say not to go by what the lines look like, but Im just curious if you get the smiley face when theres 2 strong lines.

if anyone has a photo of the lines they get with the smiley face I would be eternally grateful thanks!!

I am going to be starting the smiley face test tomorrow (am will be on CD10) so I'll let you know if I get a smiley any time soon and I'll take a photo of it too if I can.

thank you! I phoned clearblue today, as I havent had smiley faces for 2 months they are sending me a free box they said as they are digital NOT to go by the lines at all. but Im still interested to see what the lines are like when you get a smiley face.

This is a question that had been on my mind today as my test holder broke and I have 3 test sticks left and don't wanna waste them, I can't afford to keep buying test holders at 20 quid each, gonna let clear blue know so get replacement but need something till my internet cheapies arrive so thought about going on the lines on the test sticks

clearblue told me not to go by the lines as they are 'digital' whatever that means, was very adamant that I should never go by the lines. but the previous poster said the lines are equally as dark when you get the smiley face and I will monitor this next cycle. the trouble is only using the sticks you dont always know your darkest one until they start to fade. but if the 2nd line looks dark get !!!

Least I know now my sticks ain't gonna goto waste. This is my first cycle using opks and I'm adament to test everyday so obv rather pee'd off the damn thing broke.

I dont use the smiley face ones anymore because they are to expensive, I use the 50 pack of internet cheapy test strips off of amazon and they work just as good, even though it takes more effort to figure out if they are positive...

thanks for that link. In december I never got a smiley face but my lines looked roughly the same as that, so I wondered why I didnt get the smiley perhaps the tube was faulty or perhaps it wasnt quite enough for the smiley.

this month Im using one everyday for 27 days!

I've been doing the clear blue digi's (the smilies) for two months now. Ive been using the clear blue monitor for 4 months now. I have yet to get the peak fertility on the monitor, only highs. Last month on my digi I got two smilies, but on those same days my monitor didn't show peaks, only highs. So I'm really confused!! When I got the smilies, both lines showed up good, but the line closest to where you pee wasn't quite as dark as the other one. I've heard that one detects the LH and the other line is the estrogen line(farthest from the pee stick). I'm on my 4th month of using the monitor, so I'm interested in what's going to happen this month. Anyone know anything about all of this? Please help!

sorry I dont know anything about the monitor, but if you got smilies on the ov sticks thats good! and thats interesting about the LH and the estrogen. I thought one of them was the control line.
yesterday my line was darker than its been all month but still no smiley so Im hoping to get the smiley tonight or tomorrow!

Good luck Sara! My 2nd Lind was ALMOST as dark as the control line, but something happened with the test, bc it showed the error sign. So, DH and I BD'd tonight just in case. Hopefully, it should have been the smilie if the test would have worked. I'll try again in the morning. I'm cd 13 of 27 day cycle. So, hopefully the swimmerd and eggs will hook up! Let's keep this thread going since we'll be in our 2ww together. Good luck girls! Baby dust to all!
