**TMI warning!

My LO is 10.5 months, and still BF, so I haven't got my period back yet. These last couple of days I have been getting period pains on and off. The other night we DTD and didn't use anything, but he pulled out. Now all sorts of worrying thoughts are running through my mind!! :nope:

I wouldn't have cramps right after conceiving would I? And I'm right in thinking I'm very unlikely to fall pregnant at the moment even if he hadn't pulled out...right? Since we're still BF and I haven't had my first period yet?

I don't think I could have another, at the very least not just yet! If I got pregnant again I don't know what I'd do

Could they have been ovulation pains? I got pregnant with my now 3 yr old whilst breastfeeding and no period, so it is possible

I would say most likely not however there is always a possibility. Just because you hadn't got your period baxk doesn't mean that you weren't ovulating when you dtd (however you would be very unlucky if that was the case)
I think it's just a waiting game until you can do a test.

One thing I will say is that I found out I was pregnant when my daughter was 10.5 months old (now 20 months) and I thought it was the end of the world. I cried for days as I was supposed to be starting university and had my whole life planned.
Now I'm sat here snuggling my 3 week old new born baby and couldn't be happier. Everything has fitted perfectly in to place and he was the missing piece to our family I didn't even know was missing.

Everything will work out if you are x

Aww thanks... I just don't at all feel ready to divide my attention up like that. I don't know if I ever will! So you have a 20mo and a 3wo? Wow, hats off to you!

I have pains for a couple of days every time no condom is involved (I have an IUD now). I think it's just a reaction.

I got pregnant with my now four year old when my DD was seven months old. I was breastfeeding and hadn't got my period. Once they are on solids you have to be careful but if he pulled out it isn't likely.

If you're not ready for another it's always worth going on some sort of BC, even if you're breastfeeding.since you ovulate before your period you will ALWAYS be fertile before you get your AF back.

I'd say it's unlikely this time but there's nothing to do but wait and test. I hope you get the answer you're looking for :hugs:

Thanks ladies :flower:

I was never on BC before baby, we just used condoms. I've tried all different types of pill over the years and the only one I didn't mind ended up being found out to increase your risk of blood clots! So I just gave up on it for a while and thought I'd go with condoms. And it turned out just fine cos we never got pregnant until we actually wanted to! I will prob try a different pill out someday but I'm all over the place with PND atm anyway and don't wanna throw a load of artificial hormones into the mix! :haha:

Thanks for your help :)

I agree with everyone that it's fairly unlikely but obviously there is always that risk that your body was doing its first ovulation right when you dtd haha. I doubt it, though. I'd definitely take a test two weeks from when you dtd just to make sure because since you haven't had your AF yet there will be no other way of knowing!

(I haven't had mine either yet - isn't it awesome? Haha. Is your DD sleeping any better? You should check in on our sleep thread :) )

I still haven't had a period yet either (woooo)

Have you looked into the copper coil? It's what I have, no hormones and works for 10 years unless you want it removed sooner.

Good luck, I agree test in two weeks to put your mind at ease.

Good luck, but like the pp said, have you considered the copper coil? I had one fotted 8 weeks ago and can't recommend it enough, it's hormone free and lasts for years, the strings are easy to check and your good to go. Worth looking into if your not quite ready for another pregnamcy yet. X

Just to pack up this point, I found out I was pregnant with my third I was devastated, ds2 was only 7 months old and it really wasn't planned but now I wouldn't change it for the world.
