How did you ladies who have already given birth feel the days/week or so before labour started? Apart from the obvious bloody show/mucus plug, bowel clearout etc, did you feel different? More tired, less tired, nauseas, bigger appetite... anything? Or did you feel the exact same right up until labour kicked off? Basically just want to know if you had any warning or if you had absolutely no idea things would start soon! :)

Thanks in advance :)

With my daughter i was full of energy the week leading upto her birth. Scrubbed my house walked everywere. With my son is was 9days over was unable to go the loo for 3weeks felt really bloated tired sore an fed up hope this helps xx

I was exhausted. :haha:
The whole weekend before I had LO I had a sore back, felt really stiff and I suppose I really started to 'feel' pregnant. I had a very easy pregnancy with a tiny tummy so that entire weekend and couple of days before I felt completely different.

With my daughter I felt normal. With my son I started wanting to be in the bath all the time. Resting and feeling weird lol

Crampy with a sore bump, tired, grumpy and wanting to clean!

I never had the bloody show and bowel clear out with either of my two babies. I just had lots of pressure down below..making it hard to walk. I was exhausted tho but only because I would go into false labor and couldn't sleep.

I was full of energy with my son. I cleaned the house, scrubbed toilets, like made sure everything was clean. The morning my contractions started I was doing laundry lmao

An uncontrollable urge to clean, and my appetite definitely increased the 2-3 days before I went into labor. I was a bottomless pit as far as my hunger was concerned.

Thanks for sharing ladies :D
As I'm getting near the end it's like the 2WW all over again lol

I felt no different and had no signs at all. No mucus plug, no clear out etc and felt no different. Contractions just started randomly :L

I was still walking, scrubbing the floors, running after the bus (I guess some things never change:haha:)...and then I woke up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom for the gazillionth time, but my water broke. I didn't feel anything before, I even went to a baby shower less than 12 hours before it happened.

I had mild contractions all day on the Friday, but other than that I didn't feel any different. But it got to 6pm Friday evening and I was exhausted, falling asleep on the sofa. So I went to bed.

I gave birth 2:45am Saturday morning :-)

So I would say just exhaustion that was the only thing different!

I felt great actually. There was no obvious sign that anything was about to happen and I was actually kinda in shock when my waters went. I was 37 + 5 and thought I had another month of being pregnant ahead of me! In retrospect, I did have a little bit of period type cramping maybe 5 days before for a couple hours (not contractions, just mild cramps that were mostly constant). I was told it's possible this was baby engaging, though she didn't feel very engaged before labour (never felt any heaviness or bowling ball feeling down there). The day before I had a lot of EWCM like clear discharge (maybe my mucus plug?). At the time, I was also a little irritated down there and just thought I might have been getting BV or something. Then bam, woke up at 2am that night to waters going and my daughter was born less than 12 hours later. I did feel a really strong urge to get everything in order in the days before too, so maybe that should have been a sign. At the time though I didn't think it was and generally felt really good and normal.
