a stupid question about prunes

sorry if im being dumb but when you give a baby prunes does it matter if you use fresh or canned ?
And if you buy fresh do you have to boil them before pureeing?

hahaha! I dont think its a dumb question because I have no idea and would like to know too!

you can use any fresh or tinned fruit. it's advised if you're going to give tinned, to make sure it's in their own fruit juices and not syrup because of all the sugar. I haven't done a hard fruit like prunes but with apricots etc i tend to boil them then puree them down through a strainer. Strawberries/kiwi/pineapple/mango etc i just mash raw as their soft enough.
