Feel like a crazy woman!!!!

This is going to be long so I hope you've got a cuppa ready lol

I had a gender scan at 17 weeks that showed we were having a little boy.we got a potty shot and we saw what looks like obvious scrotum and penis........

So...... Had my anatomy scan yesterday at 20 weeks.bubs is all good,healthy and still a little wriggler.as I already knew bubs was a boy,I was looking out for his boy bits and thought I saw a little willy a couple of times.when I asked the sonographer the sex of the baby,she coyldnt really get a good look cos the baby was in an awkward position.i told her that I had seen a penis and she said "oh really? I hadn't noticed anything when measuring the femur tbh" I then said that it was probably cos she wasn't looking and her reply was "yes,but we normally notice something if something was there"........
Anyhow.... She couldn't look between the babies legs but she had a look at gender from the side.she showed us something that looked like a penis and scrotum but she said that she wasn't confident that it actually was that and there was loads of cord around that area.when I asked how confident she was,she told me to keep the receipts if I buy anything blue??!!!!
I,of course,have now been driving myself crazy and been on Google ever since lol.i have learnt that labia and clitoris can be quite swollen and resemble penis and scrotum at about 20 weeks and earlier and have found images of girls bits that look like my boys bits!!! I'm totally confused now and don't know what to think.

Anyone have any thoughts???!! Xx

Maybe have a private scan done? or it can be fun not to be 100% sure and wait until baby is born congrats!

I had a private gender done at 17 weeks so I don't really fancy paying out for another one.i have got a growth scan at 28 weeks,but it's not til 30th June ........... Im gonna drive myself absolutely crazy by then lol xx

Oh I don't blame you one bit!! I have my scan next friday and these next few days are going to drag! I would be going crazy too!

I very much believe that in having another little boy,just my anantomy scan had thrown me a little bit and I can't get it out of my head now!! I wish I never had the gender scan lol.good luck with yours Friday xx

I have a pretty good feeling it's a boy, everything I've read says that gender scans after 16 weeks are quite accurate, we had ours at 19 and the girl bits were very obvious... That sucks though, I'm sorry you're in such limbo! I'd be freaking out too.

Thanks girls.i think it's a boy too,just was expecting it to be confirmed at my anatomy scan and when it wasn't I was just a bit shocked lol.baby was way too curled up to get a potty shot xx
