hello all!
I am 22, just got married in May. My husband and I were going to wait a year before trying, but are too excited and started trying right away. I have always had abnormal cycles, but after a few months of trying with only :bfn: they are really worrying me. from the most recent on, they days were 35, 57, 27, 54, 35, 30, 40, 18, 31, 37, 44, 38, 24, 26, 46, 33, 25, 26, 19, 66, 41, 44, 38, 23, 85. The last one was when I stopped taking birth control.

I have been trying to track my CM, and its mostly very infertile. Yesterday though, it was very fertile! I went to the store and bought an OPK, took it a few hours ago and it was negative, so I am thinking that maybe I just missed my peak day? right now i am 13 DPO. Does anybody else have any experiences like this?

Any experiences or help would be appreciated!

Also try BBT charting. It doesn't predict ovulation but produces a spike after you ovulate. With BBT charting you buy a BBT thermometer and take your temp at the same time every day after you wake up and before you get out of bed. Take it the same route as well(I take mine orally). After you BBT chart for a few cycles you can see a pattern of when you do ovulate. Unfortunately you can see fertile CM throughout your cycle(or at least I do). Continue to use OPKs and make sure you use them later in the day. I use FF to track everything. There is also meds you can take to help you ovulate like Clomid. Also continue to track your cycles. I hope I have helped :)

Hi Laura

Your cycles look like a carbon copy of mine!!

I have been told that I have cysts on my ovaries but don't show all the symptoms of PCOS so the slightest illness, stress or change in diet seems to make my cycle irregular!

I've found that due to the irregularity I have to use OPKs through days 18-30 to try and catch my ovulation and it doesn't always correspond with CM. In face I get CM and then if I have delayed ovulation the second attempt to ovulate has none at all! V bizarre but I'm learning to notice the little differences.

I'm going to start temping so would be interested to hear how you get on?

oh wow! Thats crazy! I did have an ultrasound of my ovaries about 2 years ago and they found nothing, and I have always had irregular periods so Im hoping none have popped up since then! I had EWCM and then a pos opk a few days later so I'm hoping this cycle is my lucky one! If not, then I'm going to start temping as well. Keep me updated on your journey!!

Hi Laura,

They said to me that they can come and go so when I first had a scan they couldn't see any then again they said they could so who knows!!

I find it really frustrating having irregular cycles and really celebrate if the next some is even a week close to the last! (Small victories!!)

I've just order 50opks from amazon so I can start the tracking again but maybe you could be the same as me as if I don't o on the first attempt my body will try on the second... I can just never seem to guess when that is!!!

Take care and would love to know how you're going

X

oh wow! that is good to know!
I am pretty sure I have pinpointed my ovulation this cycle thanks to CM and OPKs, so I am hopeful for a late may, early june baby. I know the chances aren't nearly 100%, but just keeping those FX!!!!

Hi Laura! I have really irregular cycles too. Sometimes they last for a month and a half to almost two months, and sometimes they are slightly shorter than a month. Though I'm still not positive everything is okay, temping since May has really given me more insight into what's going on! I can see that stress and traveling can have a huge impact on the length.

Definitely hoping this cycle things work out for you and you get your BFP, but if you don't, know that you're not alone! :)

im glad to know I'm not the only one with this crap! I got on the dangerous google search engine and it said that extremely irregular periods are a sign on anovulation (not ovulating at all! :/) I did get a positive on an opk this month though, so now I'm just worried that even though I had my lh surge that I never released an eggie. I guess we will see.. good luck to you ladies this months as well!!!

AF showed up right on time this month.. 14dpo and right back to CD1... here's to next month...
