Abnormally short . but not early?

hey ladies,

I'm sorry if this has already been asked before - I'm relatively new to the forum world and haven't quite gotten the hang of it.

This was my first cycle off of BC - the hubby and I are TTC for #1. My . came but it was really light. only lasted about 24 hours plus some spotting. Normally my cycle is 5 days.
I tested the day my AF was due and got a BFN - should I test again since my . was so weird? I don't really want to get my hopes up - but it's hard not to.

Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you ladies! Fingers crossed for all of you!

Hi KimmyBee. Your body will take some time to get regulated again after coming off bc. The longer you've been on it, usually, the longer it takes to regulate. People can be all over the place after coming off bc.

I had a really light withdrawal and then 3 days of what I can only describe and imagine felt like labour painful bleeding - then my cycles began getting a little more 'normal'... longest being 30 days, shortest, 14. I'm now on cycle day 17 and 8DPO.

That's exactly what my first AF off the pill was like. Unless you know for sure you ovulated I would assume you didn't. It's likely not to ovulate your first cycle and having a super light AF is a good sign of an anovulatory cycle.
