Most of the time it disappears when I think I just about had enough! These past days I have been having less, and not so close together but still much more than usual. I will be seeing my OB soon just travel is always a problem for me since I can not walk, stand or sit up...it limits your travel options. Most often I take the train lying down and then try to avoid a long walk.I think it's always best to get checked especially because of your hydronephrosis. I had irritable uterus in my last pregnancy and it was annoying. I went in often to make sure it was nothing and not dilating. Try tons of water and lay on your left side. If that doesn't work then go check it out xx
Because of the frequency and the fact that they're very short lasting, it sounds more like an irritable uterus than 'usual' BH's... Irritable uterus is very commonly caused by kidney/urinary infections - especially if baby is lying on it all too! Are you on antibiotics?
Yes I have been on antibiotics since Christmas. One rpund of Penicillin and 2 rounds of Cefuroxim 250 (still on it) but so far nothing really takes care of it. I still have signs of a bacterial infection in my blood and urine. We will try another antibiotic after this if these don't work.
I looked up irritable uterus before but some of the symptoms did not fit. However my midwife said UTI's can also bring on BH.
Wow, is it strange that I don't have BH? I didn't realize how common it is. It's also my first baby tho
I didn't think that I ever had Braxton hicks with my first 3 pregnancies either, it wasn't until my midwife was checking baby on my 3rd and asked whether I could feel it that I realised that I did. She told me that every pregnant women gets them just not all can feel them.
Funny enough in my 4th pregnancy I could feel them, I think they started not long after 20 weeks.
Mine are often very mild too! Sometimes I could almost miss them!
