FOB has just left me... I have a three year old beautiful girl. She's my absolute world... I'm 7 months pregnant and I've just walked out on FOB. He's not my oldest's Dad, I should probably add.

I've stayed team yellow, which he has gone mental about, we've been breaking up for months. I don't trust him as far as I could throw him.. And it kills me, the thought of him having this LO unsupervised... I wouldn't even leave him on his own with DD when we were together, he's such a nasty piece of work.

It took me a long time to finally leave him, so I've come back to BNB eventually, seeking help.

He's claimed he wants nothing to do with LO, cause it's not his.. Right, whatever. He's also said 'Bitch you won't get anything from CSA, I'm still at Uni' .. He's at uni for another year.

Do I bother making an application ? Is he right? How do I cope with being a single Mummy to two children :( x

i'm not 100% sure.. my ex is completely messing around the CSA though, so i would just say don't count on the money...

plus it always feels better when you finally do get something, and you don't actually need it, i see it as an up yours, i'm gunna go get something nice for me/the girls.

but i would deffinatly do it - nothing ventured, nothing gained and all that!
x

I'm not sure if he would have to contribute while at uni but if you want to you should still make the claim. He's going to have to work at some point :hugs: xx

My ex is at uni and I had no choice but to go through CSA as they contacted me when he forced himself on the birth certificate. He doesn't have to pay anything while at uni but if there is a claim already made as soon as he is working or on benefits etc. it's alot quicker for them to sort it out and get him paying you rather than the weeks it takes when a new claim is made. If they're working while at uni then it may be different x

If he has a part time job, or is claiming any benefits for any reason, he will have to pay CSA. the reason they don't have to pay CSA by force is because they live on loans and grants which aren't counted as income. However, if they even earn so much as £100 a week through a part-time job, this is counted as income!

It ends in his last year in about June/July. x
