I am so angry!!!

FOB met Alfie for the first time last Sunday. We had a really good time, we all got on and there was no arguements or tension. He said the reason he hadn't been in contact was because my solicitor told him never to contact me again (she didn't what so ever say that!!), and also because I applied for maintainence through the CSA and that's not how he wanted to do it. (Even though I didn't claim CSA until Alfie was 9 months old)

So 17 months down the line they finally met!

We came to an agreement that if I cancelled CSA payments of £5 a week, he would pay me £15 a week, as that is all he can afford as he is currently on the dole.

I trusted him and cancelled CSA the next day.. opened a new bank account so he has no problem getting to the bank every week.. and was told that £30 will be in that account by 22nd August..

Then yesterday I got a text. 'Sorry Soph, can't pay money tomorrow as I have been really ill and haven't been able to sign on this week, hopefully will pay by the end of the week'

Is it just me or is this completly wrong? I feel like such an idiot! This is the first ever bit of money he would of ever paid Alfie and he can't even do that. He is meant to be building up trust with me so he can look after Alfie but he can't even pay me on time.
Should I phone up the CSA and open the case back up again and just get the lowsy £5 or am I being to harsh? Was he genuinly ill.. or is this another one of his bull**** stories?

AGHHHHHHH MEN!!!!:growlmad:

Oh what a pain... i would give him till Monday to pay what he owes you if not go back to csa! he cant mess you around...
x

I'm sorry hun your intentions were really good but I really want to smack u on the bum for cancelling that CSA, if he wanted you to have £15 a week he could have just topped you up £10!

Yes call up the CSA and open it back up hopefully it won't take to long.

My suspicious mind might think he only saw you both because he was getting a job and wanted the CSA cancelled but that's just me, been bitten to many times. As for being too ill to sign on.....well I'll stop before I go to far.

Ya I agree if I were you I'd keep up with the claim....What if he loses his job? Or changes it to a lower paying one? There might always be an excuse...and csa keeps it less stressful because you wont have to constantly argue and negotiate for it...
