Who has some form of activy center? Like the fisherprice jumperoo, or the evenflro excer saucer? Or any other brands of these type toys?

What do you think is a good feature to be looking for in these type toys?

And how much did you LO enjoy the sitting activity center?

I just feel that Jasper really wants to sit up and play and he gets frustrated that he cant - if he's on his back he grunts and whines trying to lift his shoulders up, but he lacks the balance at 4 months to sit unsupported.

Also, has anyone got one of those walkers as well? How well do they work in a small space? Also, is it true that they delay walking because they encourage tippy-toe walking?

Any advice, ideas, thoughts, or suggestions would be great!!!

I have the exersaucer -- it was recommended to me, and it's supposed to be safer than a walker (no risk of baby walking into or off of things, though I do live in a one-level home). We bought it recently, just after he turned 4 months.

David is one of those babies that will straighten his legs and try to stand at any opportunity, so he loves 'standing' in the exersaucer, and he can just sit when his legs tire. Plus it has loads of toys built in; there's this little spinny wheel with beads in it that he's endlessly spinning. It's usually good to keep him happy for about 15 minutes or so, which is actually a lot for him, lol.:dohh:

I also want to get him a bouncer in a month or so, when his neck strength is a little better. I hear those are really great, too, if you have a baby that loves to move his legs.

we've got a jumperoo, elliot goes in it every day for his daily mad jump around!! he loves it, so far hasn't got bored of it. he had it at 4 months, hes now 6 1/2 months.

keely.

We've got the Bright Starts Around We Go, a walker and activity centre, as we don't have much room, the usual type of walker is no good, so this is perfect. It can also be just the activity table for when she is older.

Thank you for the feedback! It didn't help too much though! Cos, they all sound great! And I was having trouble choosing between them!

I'm tossing between the jumperoo and the bright stars one. There is something about the bright stars one that tickles my sense of humour - but on the other hand, Jasper is a very bouncy boy, he'll sit on my lap and bounce himself up and down!

I should go into the baby galore store and put him in them both and see which one he likes!

(and then I'll go to target and buy them cheaper there... they just dont have them set up like at babies galore!)

Keep sending me suggestions in the mean time - I'll probably be getting it on Saturday!
