Hello ladies

I am new to this site but wondered if you can help me? We have beenTTC for 2.5 years and have had one cycle of ivf which had to be abandoned due to hyperstimulation so the next step is FET. I have just started acupuncture and have been twice so far to a zita west approved person (Ivka Blay). Is anyone else having acupuncture in Surrey in case it does not work out with her - I have to travel quite far and am not sure about the whole thing!

Thanks very much xx

Hi

I can't help you with a Surrey acupuncturist but I just wanted to say I had it and I think it DEF helped. Would absolutely recommend it during treatment. Prob stating the obvious but have you checked the Zita West website for others who might be nearer? If you do look for one elsewhere, make sure they specialise in fertlity.

Good luck
xx

I went to a lady in Ashtead, she also goes to other areas in Surrey but that was the nearest to me. She wasn't Zita West approved though.

I have to admit for me it did nothing and I've decided not to do it this time around but I know loads of ladies who swear by it.

Good luck!

Helloo Princess P.... not sure where in Surrey you are, but I am having acupuncture in Surbiton with Laura Netti...https://www.icmacupuncture.com/html/about_your_practitioner.asp

I really like her style and am finding it is helping me to feel quite relaxed, I am hoping it will help with the symptoms of the IVF drugs .... so far, but early days for me

xx

I have only had one session in Burgess Hill. Still too early to say but i have very irregular bleeding and this month i have had been slightly more regular but need to see when the witch comes (due Friday) to know for sure. I wouldn't say that i felt relaxed -but i don't like anything like this but her results have been in the national media. If you google The Baby Whisperer The Daily Mirror you will find her details. I would say however that her knowledge of IVF, IUI is fantastic and she has asked me to question some of what i have been told, eg, she was amazd that i was told by FS that painful periods were a sign of ovulation! Good luck with your decision x

Thanks so much for the info ladies. I am in sutton so in the middle of all those areas!!

Wow Springflower. Where are you having your treatment? We have had one cycle of icsi at St Helier and waiting to start FET x

We're on the waiting list for St Helier, but they told me it was 3 yrs (!!) So I'm on my 2nd private cycle. In order to quialify I can't have anymore private goes after this one. If it doesnt work I'm going to give them a call find out howlong the wait is and go from there. TBH I think I'll just go private again, I'm not a patient person!!

How long did you have to wait for yours?

i didn't wait - we were also told about the 3 year wait. We opted to pay through st helier, it was the cheapest option and the most practical. Not sure if we have made the right decision as it is a bit frustrating but now have 15 embies on ice so a bit late to back out now!!

Where are you being treated? x

Wow 15, thats loads!! Well done you!

I'm at the London Women's Clinic in town. I think it's so hard to choose where to go, I'm still not sure we made the right choice, but I don't think I'll ever think that until I get pregnant.
