I've just come across a name which I've never heard anyone mention on here before, and its really pretty in my opinion.

Adora.

Opinions?? :winkwink:

Would that be a short version of Isadora?? Not keen

Adorable! :D
I'd prepare for possible nicknames though and she might get Addy, which I'm not keen on personally. Dora I think would be a lovely nm though, so she might be lucky. :)

Isadora is gorgeous and Dora would be equally as lovely as an abbrieviation, or were you actually thinking of Adora without the 'Is? It's still lovely but i do prefer Isadora. Really lovely name :D:D

I don't like it sorry, but then again i'm not keen on unusal names.

Oooooh i like it!
I wanted to add Isadora to my list of girls names but OH said no way! Sounds too much like Wizadora.
I think its lovely and really unusual which is my kinda thing
x

I love it!

I also love Adorabella, but DH said its too much :( I will change his mind lol xxx

I instantly thought 'We all Adora Kia Ora', but thankfully as it isn't the 80s I don't imagine too many people would think that.

I actually think it's a pretty name and I've never heard it before. It's unusual without sounding tacky.

Honestly? lt just makes me think of ''He-Man- and She-Ra ''. Adora was the name of She Ra's 'real life 'alter ego. As someone else has said though, it's not the 80s anymore, so the reference would probably be lost on most people.

It made me think of wizzadora...a kids tv programme from when i was little xx

I don't normally like unusual names but I quite like it! It's not too "out there"! :-)

I like it. It's close to the name Adara, which I really like.

Thanks for the opinions. I don't think I'll be using it to be honest...I'm too set on Lola! But...I just thought it was really pretty and wondered what other people thought, I think it'll go on my shortlist in case I have a girl that doesn't suit Lola!

Think I prefer Adora to Isadora....and its lovely shortened to Dora :)
