advertising sexual health

Just hearing on the news this lunchtime that they want to make adverts for condom use and abortions part of the sexual health advertising remit.....

I used to work in sexual health and I think advertising condom use is a great idea, abortion on the other hand i don't agree with. I am not against abortion and believe it's a personal choice but I fear that young people/women may feel that its a form of contraception having the opinion of "oh i'm pregnant - thats ok i can just have an abortion" and therefore going into it lightly which it shouldn't be ~ it's something that needs a lot of thought......

what does everyone else think about this, do you think it will help britains high rate of teen pregnancy?

This was posted in General Chatter. I don't agree with the advertisement of abortions. I think by doing that they run the risk of increased abortions occurring.

I think advertising condoms is a great idea!

With regards to advertising abortion, TBH i didnt understand what was actually involved in abortion until i was in my early 20's when friends started reporting back what had happenened to them
And my opinion has changed since ive been pregnant too.
So i think a more realistic view of what actually happens when babies or aborted in a educationa sense is a great idea, but i think that should be the first step
