Advice - green poop.

So our LO is formula fed - Aptamil comfort milk. He takes 5 oz bottles at each feed, sometimes a little more if he is starving. Weds I noticed that his poop (he does 1 poopy nappy per day normally) was a khaki colour. Next day it was also greenish but he seemed fine in himself. Health Visitor said was OK and was probably nothing if he seemed ok in himself. Yesterday evening he pooped and it was back to yellow and peanut butter consistency.

He just went again - and its back to khaki colour. Only thing that is different is that I gave him a couple of ounces of hungry milk after his normal feed last night as he was fussing and crying alot and asking for food. I didnt do that before though. Feel bad like I am doing something wrong

Ive heard green poop is normal when using comfort milk or a milk with a higher iron content such as SMA. Maybe try upping his bottles to 6oz if he still seems hungry after a feed sometimes? xxx

My LO has been a bit constipated since we changed to formula and seems to go every 2 days now. His poo has been green as well recently and I didn't think anything of it. Can it be a problem?

my LO's poops are greenish-brown-yellowy most of the time and the dr said it was ok, look for diarrhea or mucus/blood in the poops.

also since switching to FF the poops are so smelly!

Formula poo's can be pretty much any colour - as long as they aren't hard and pebbly, very loose or contain blood or mucous then are fine.

Francesca was on sma from birth and she always had dark green poo because sma has a higher iron content than other brands.

Changing brand or using hungry baby could also cause green poo because it can take little tummies a while to get used to the change xx
