Advice needed on shopping for the baby

Hello mammas

I shall be joining the mommy club in early Dec and need a little advice on a few things. Recently went baby stuff shopping and was overwhelmed by the options of things my baby "needs". Can you please tell me:
1. A few items that I cannot go without that probably won't think of buying
2. A few items I should avoid that have no use
(Specific to the 1st 3-6months after birth)

I already have a few things in stock like a bath, changing table, Breast pump etc, but I'm getting conflicting advice about buying a pram for example (one lady told me I will hardly use it)

Also, if you have some kind of checklist to share when I comes to raising a newborn, it's welcome.

I'm so excited to start this journey as a mom, so any and all advice is welcome.
